Welcome new members. Most people on the list have heard this from me
before, but this is what works for me:
Washing hair and face twice a week with Head and Shoulders Intensive
Treatment Shampoo. Leave on for at least two minutes.
Taking vitamin b5 - see vilantae.com for more info. It may not work for
everyone, but it has cleared up the oil on my face by two thirds.
Taking boswellia serrata. It’s a pill made from an Indian tree,
available at Whole Foods. It further cleared the oil from my face which
allowed my skin to recover and normalize.
These methods have worked for me for the past two years after seven
full years of oily, red, flaky skin, and trying Nizoral, Klaron,
Desonide, and countless other drugs.
Feel free to email me with any questions.

Just to add for the uk people as H&S intensive treatment isn’t
available here. The shampoo to use is selsun blue which uses the same
active ingredient as H&S intensive treatment.

I don’t know how it works. Someone on this list or the rosacea list
recommended it to me. I actually noticed that my skin was less oily
the very next morning, and it got even better over time. I just take
it twice a day now, once with breakfast and once with dinner. It
doesn’t smell good, but if you swallow it whole in capsule form it’s
not bad.
One other thing - Dermadoctor’s Tease Zone Oil Controlling Gel works
great for temporary relief of oily skin. It’s expensive ($35 a
bottle), but it’s great to use in the morning before going to work. I
don’t know how it works either, but it’s a great product.
Give these things a try and let me know if they work for you too.
