psoriasis and seb derm is the same thing.
Seb derm is just another form of psoriasis. You have to have a
genetic mutation in a gene that controls sebum production to get seb
derm thus another pathway for psoriasis. While doctors don’t know the
exact gene it is because there are multiple genes invovled in what
controls it. I can almost guarantee that when theres a cure for
psoriasis there will be one for seb derm but you will be left with
oily skin. Most people "think" that seb derm is disease caused by a
fungus which isn’t entirely untrue. Its malfunctioning T-cells
attacking the waste left by the fungus. People with Seb derm also
probably didn’t know that the compisition of sebum is modified giving
the fungus an ideal place to grow and leave more waste. Also seb derm
can be caused by fungal infections. Its not the infection that causes
seb derm its the drugs that the doctors give you that does.
Ketoconazole, Terbinafine, etc modify the compisition of your sebum
not topical creams but oral meds (Doctors don’t want you to know
this). If you never had a mutation in the gene that controls sebum
production you woulda never gotten seb derm, You probably would of
gotten psoriasis. 95% of people that are not immunocompromised (HIV,
Parkinsons) can say that seb derm first appeared in a time a severe
stress (same as psoriasis sufferers) but when you are highly stressed
making you immunocompromisedat that present time. Seb derm is genetic
disease of the immune system, oily skin is just the pathway. The only
hope for a cure is gene therapy but we all know theres no money in a
cure just giving us shitty steroid creams and topical antifungals that
barely work. This is what is known for sure. If you have seb derm
your skin is oily, Your sebum composition is modified, You have
inflammed scaly skin. Simply put most people that seb derm have some
genetic link to psoriasis or someone with oily skin in there family
(oily skin isn’t normal).
