Weather/Climate

Hello, I know that winter causes a lot of problems because of the cold
dry air but what about a dry climate like Arizona? Do you think a
place like Arizona or a place like Florida is better for the skin? The
reason I am asking is because we have a choice of the two places next
year around December for 3 months and I currently live in cold Michigan
and do not know which would do me better - I guess either would be
better in the winter than Michigan. Thanks. Rob.

    Rob,

I think either of these places would be a significant improvement to
cold, windy Michigan! So I say go where you want to go and hopefully
    your sebderm to improve.

Though I don’t think it should affect your decision, I think the
humidity in Florida will be helpful. However, you’ll need to use
sunscreen in both places - and the moisturizing effect of the sunscreen
should help counter the dryness of Arizona. Plus you never know… the
desert air tends to be low in irritants such as allergens and mold, so
you might be surprised at how much your skin improves.

    Good luck!

PS. I’ve suffered through a miserable winter in Pennsylvania this year
but my sebderm has been largely controlled thanks to ZNP bar.

Hey Just wanted to put in my two cents. My SD started when I was
living in arizona, and has almost cleared now that I’m living back in
northern California. Get sun everyday, cut out the sugar from your
diet and use your medications cautiously, you should start to get
better. The dry cold weather of the southwest this time of year makes
SD bad. Find a happy medium…..
