Urine

Friday, May 4th, 2007

By the way - I have abandoned the urine drinking. Was worth a try and
kept me optimistic for a while.

Skin mega ‘up and down’ at the moment - had a good day yesterday and
its turned to piffy paper today. Used my cider vinegar tonight but it
doesn’t seem to absorb so well when the skin’s rubbish and now I need a
2 day gap 2 avoid it burning next time.

Considering ripping it off and crafting some new skin from pink play-
dough.

Grrrrrrr

Hi group, it all started three months ago after taking anti-biotic. I
have had been diagnosed with SD by my primary care doctor and have
been on 2% ketoconazole shampoo for three months. My SD is mainly on
my scalp eyebrows and around my mouth. The shampoo seemed to help but
not stop the flaking and redness all together. I have seen improvement
(scalp flaking is almost gone), however today I saw a dermatologist
for a second opinion? The derm doc told me that he wouldn’t call my
condition full out SD? Instead he felt have a yeast infection caused
my the anti-biotic. The treatment he prescribed is all over the
counter stuff: He recommended a mix of these three ointments applied
twice a day for a month: Hydrocortisone 1% Polysporin (or any other
antibiotic cream, i.e. Neosporin) and Clotrimazol (or any other
anti-fungal i.e. lamisil)

This gives me hope that the other doctor was wrong about me having SD.

Hello fellow Sufferers

I all, I am new to the group, and I just wanted to share with you
my story. I first got SD when I was 18, I always had oily skin as a
young teenager and maybe that is what caused it to start. In the
beginning it was just a little red dry sport on the side of my nose,
soon becoming larger, then on the other side of my nose. The first
doctor I saw prescribed hydrocortisone I think just 1%, but he
neglected to tell me that I shouldnt use it for a long term
solution. I used it for like 2 years on and off. Of course It got
worse all of a sudden, and went to another doctor who told me to stop
using the steriod on my face, and told me of the side effects. So he
prescribed Nizoral shampoo and the Ketconazole cream, which again
worked real well at first. Then It got worse, moving to my chin,
forehead, sideburn area, and of course the side of the nose where it
seems to be the worst and most persistent. Well I am 27 now and I
have tried everything, the thing is almost everything seems to work

As anyone in this groups knows I wouldn’t want to impeach this really
awful disease one anyone. I wouldn’t consider it a "bad" disease as
it won’t kill you. This has been really staggering on my social life
as it comes to a dull stop. I just generally avoid human contact as
much as I can because they are like whats on your face (you know thats
what there thinking). It has gotten progressively worse since I got
it. It started as one patch on my left cheeks. Now it’s on my pretty
much my whole face, nose, both cheeks, chin, lips, ears, nose, in
between eyebrows. I’ve only had this for a year and a half and I look
at pictures at people with it almost all over there bodies it gets me
really depressed because I think thats probably going to happen to me
sooner or later. After I wash my face about 1 - 2 hrs its really
greasy again, People ask me if I’m sweating I just say yeah, its
better then telling ‘em its greasy. I’ve been seriously thinking
about taking accutane as It would turn my skin to normal sebum
