Cured… or at least remission

Hi Everyone,

I’ve not posted here in a very long time but thought I’d share my good
news and how I got there. I came down with SD about a year and a 1/2
ago. For about a year, I flaked and crusted everyday and had hair
loss. I’m happy to say it’s been about 4 months and I’ve not had a
single flake! My hair is growing back too.

The key to my healing has been diet and nutrition. I’ve been
diagnosed (first self diagnosed and then confirmed with tests) with
Celiac’s disease–an allergy to gluten. Celiac’s destroys the small
intestine which is responsible for absorption of vitamins and minerals
from food and other sources. I eliminated gluten (which in found in
everything from grains to vinegar, soy sauce, salad dressing, most
processed foods) switched to a mostly whole food diet, began taking a

high-potency liquid vitamin (first Eniva and then GNC brand–my
holistic doctor says is just as good and it costs about 1/2 of Eniva),
and a green food (Klamath brand blue green algae capsules 2x/day). My
SD as well as all my other issues (cystic acne, hair loss, weight
issues, chronic constipation, hormone imbalance, insulin resistance,
chronic fatigue, lupus and sjorgen’s syndrome) have disappeared. It’s
been magical; I’m still in a state of disbelief. I COULD SING!!! It’s
now my belief that external health issues are a sign from our bodies
that we have an imbalance of some kind. I should add too that I
switched to organic foods, did a colon cleanse (Dr. Natura’s), a
detox, and re-joined my health club.

I wish everyone could experience the healing I’ve had! I can’t
believe how good I feel. I believe the answer is out there and diet
and nutrition are the keys. If anyone wants more info, please let me
know. I’m remaining a part of this group for awhile longer.

I hope this helps someone. Thanks and God bless,

Connie

    Hi Cindy,

Thanks for your response. I don’t think my exact path will work for
everyone. I was just suggesting (and do firmly believe myself) that
SD (as well as many other health issues) is caused by an imbalance in
the body. There can be many causes for an imbalance; mine was caused
by Celiac’s Disease. Like you, I too saw a naturalist who had me on
all kinds of vitamins/supplements (pill form) that did nothing and
cost a fortune. They didn’t work because my body wasn’t able to
absorb them at that time. I had allergy tests as well. I wasn’t
allergic to anything either according to those tests. Cost around
what your test cost. Celiac’s is diagnosed through an antibodies
test. It’s really an autoimmune disease; I used "allergy" for
simplicity. I hope I didn’t offend anyone. I was just throwing out
there what worked for me. Of course, everyone is free to take it or

leave it. And, I will pray for everyone to find their path that leads
    to healing.

    Hi Connie,

I am interested in knowing more about your detox and cleanse. How
many months of each did you do? And what (product) did you use for
    the detox?

Good luck and thanks for your post!
