after speaking to a friend whos has been put on the diet by his dr
for his stomach and a bit of research on the net the basic crux of it
is avoid sugar and yeast.
AVOID all fruits except you can eat
grapefruit,lemon,lime,kiwis,mangoes,bananas and frsh pineapple.
DONT eat walnuts or chickpeas any other nut bean or seed is o.k to
eat.The only veggies to stay clear of are mushrooms, sweet
potoes, tomatoes.NO chocolate or caffeine or any refined sugars.YEAST
of all kinds must be avoided which means you have to read the labels
on alot of things,BREAD is out except rye and wholegrain sourdough,You
must avoid enriched foods such as pasta crackers etc stick to whole
grain and semolina pastas.AVOID cow cheese try soy rice or goats cheese
CHECK the label on everything no
additives, preservatives, sweeteners,Unfortunately ALCOHOL is also a no

Hello everyone,
Is anyone facing bumps and cystic acne after a sebderm flare up is
reduced? please advise because I am using for them cortisone
(quadriderm) to cool the bumps so my face is becoming dependant on it.
i follow the candida diet ( strictly ) skin problems are the bodies way
of saying i’ve got other bigger problems ! believe me i have had it all
for many years, i have researched and looked for cures.mine all started
when i had a work accident and had an operation on my leg and was
treated with antibiotics. antibiotics kill all the good and bad
bacteria in you intestines ect, but they do not kill yeast bacteria
called candida. in this situation candida can grow with nothing to
fight it, as doctors do not give or tell you to take probiotics to
replace what they are killing. candida overtakes your small intestine
and wears down your immune system and that is when seb derm and a
multitude of other things can start.this can take a short time or a
long time to happen depending.
questions ; do i have a white coated tongue ? ( thrush )
or anything els that candida is reported to cause.
as i say i follow the ( candida diet )very strictly and take 4

I have sd on and around my nose. It flares up every so often. I am in
the middle of a flare up right now. I have red flaky skin. I have
big meetings this weekend and next week and am looking for something,
anything to improve the way my face looks asap. I am using
ketoconazole right now but it isnt doing much. Any advice will be well
taken. Thanks.
Hi everyone I just joined the group yesterday. I’m
glad to see someone started it. Anyways I’m 22 and
live in Arizona. I was diagnosed with SD after going
to the doctor and doing blood work to rule out other
things. I have dandruff in my scalp that is fairly
bad. Some hair loss on the scalp recently due to SD I
think. I have been using different shampoos ie. head
and shoulders, selson blue and Nizoral. They work ok.
On my eyebrows I have horrible flaking and hair loss.
It seems like the eyebrows are falling out with a
chunk of skin attached to the root area. The doctor
gave me desonide cream for the face and fluocinonide
for my head. Has anyone else tried either of these and
how did they work? Does anyone else have eyebrow hair
loss? What works good to get rid or it? I read

Hi Again,
You talked in your last message about the winter
effects on SD. You mentioned mold or mildew, and said
something about how when it’s damp things don’t dry
out completely and that might effect our SD or explain
why it’s worse in winter. My question is this…. if
there were dampness in my home, let’s say carpeting
got wet in my bedroom, and took days to dry when it
was cold in the house and rainy outside. Is there any
possibility that combination of events in my living
environment could affect my SD and cause it to flare?
Any opinions on that from anyone? Thanks to all of
you who are helping me during this difficult time. Roxanne
Elizabeth and Wendy, Thanks for the quick response to
my questions.
Whew! What a relief to hear that I’m not the only
person in the whole world with these eye lid sores.
It feels so helpless being alone in our suffering, but
so safe in being with others who understand. You
confirmed for me what I was already feeling, that
contrary to what the PA said at the derms office, that
it’s the Seb Derm and not my Rosacea that is doing
this on my eyes. As soon as I left the docs office
with all those creams and pills she gave me, the first
thing I thought was that I needed to go to the message
boards and ask my questions there, because it seems
more often than not that those who suffer with me have
better answers than those damn doctors who seem so

Has anyone here ever had red, scaley painful sores, or
patches on their eyelids or under the bottom lashes?
For nearly 2 years I have had it in the usual places,
around my nose, eyebrows, and along my hairline. I
treat it with Nizoral shampoo from time to time. But
these sores on my eyes is new territory for me. My
doc gave me Nizoral cream to use, but it clearly says
on the tube to not use it on or around the eyes. She
said anyhow she thought it was my Rosacea acting up on
my eyes, not the Seb Derm. She put me on Doxy for 2
weeks with hopes of stopping this horrible
progression.
By the way, in response to an earlier post about their
Seb Derm being worse in the winter….OH YEAH! My
