Does ZNP Bar NOT work for anyone?
When I was first diagnosed with Seb Derm 10 years ago, the first thing
my derm recommended was ZNP Bar. Basically it’s a Pyrithione Zinc soap
bar, similar to using Head & Shoulders on your face (which I’ve tried
before also) but a bit gentler. ZNP worked very well for me back then.
When I started having problems again recently, I joined this site for
advice and also bought another ZNP bar. After a few weeks, I have zero
scaling, and no greasiness. Basically my seb derm symptoms are gone.
I read all the creative "home remedies" on here and I wonder if ZNP did
not work for those people or if they’ve never tried it for some reason.
I realize everyone is different, but for me ZNP works great. (But I
also have success on my scalp with Head & Shoulders, and I know some
people do not.)
The only side effect I’ve found is that ZNP is a bit drying, so using a
gentle moisturizer is a good idea.

You can get ZNP products from amazon. THey use to have soap in stock
but for 5 dollars a bar plus shipping, I only tried one. But they also
have 2% ZNP shampoo and creams. check it out.

If you have a good "real" drugstore near you, you can ask them about
it. I did that and they ordered me a bar cheaper than what I found
online.
