Red, Scaley, Painful Patches/Sores on Eyelids
Has anyone here ever had red, scaley painful sores, or
patches on their eyelids or under the bottom lashes?
For nearly 2 years I have had it in the usual places,
around my nose, eyebrows, and along my hairline. I
treat it with Nizoral shampoo from time to time. But
these sores on my eyes is new territory for me. My
doc gave me Nizoral cream to use, but it clearly says
on the tube to not use it on or around the eyes. She
said anyhow she thought it was my Rosacea acting up on
my eyes, not the Seb Derm. She put me on Doxy for 2
weeks with hopes of stopping this horrible
progression.
By the way, in response to an earlier post about their
Seb Derm being worse in the winter….OH YEAH! My
symptoms have been manageable all summer but a few
weeks ago things got crazy again. And interesting
what you said about the heater in your house being a
suspect culprit, cause now that I think about it, this
flare did start when we kicked on the furnace, and I
spend a lot of time standing on the floor
vents……hummm….. Any feedback would be helpful. Roxanne
