Hey, I posted in early November and i did try the yoghurt.
There definately was an effect as the condition of my skin felt better,
(it feels like it takes a layer of skin off) but i also subsequently
stopped using my H&S zinc pyrithone shampoo and had a flare up after
about a week after stopping using it. I then kept using the yoghurt to
see if it went away and it didn’t, so i went back to H&S and it had
cleared up within a week.
I then went over to Las Vegas on holiday (I live in the UK) in late
November and bought the H&S intensive treatment with selenium sulphide.
I’m finding it really beneficial at keeping my seb derm under control,
it’s similar to zinc pyrithone, but I get less redness from using it.
I use it every 2 or 3 days because after 2/3 days my skin looks great,
but if i leave it any longer, i start to flare up.
Anyway, i know different things work for different people but that’s
what’s working for me.

When I was first diagnosed with Seb Derm 10 years ago, the first thing
my derm recommended was ZNP Bar. Basically it’s a Pyrithione Zinc soap
bar, similar to using Head & Shoulders on your face (which I’ve tried
before also) but a bit gentler. ZNP worked very well for me back then.
When I started having problems again recently, I joined this site for
advice and also bought another ZNP bar. After a few weeks, I have zero
scaling, and no greasiness. Basically my seb derm symptoms are gone.
I read all the creative "home remedies" on here and I wonder if ZNP did
not work for those people or if they’ve never tried it for some reason.
I realize everyone is different, but for me ZNP works great. (But I
also have success on my scalp with Head & Shoulders, and I know some
people do not.)
happy new year to all….
just like to inquire in here if anyone already used triamcinolone
lotion?? any adverse effect?? my new derma doctor prescribe this to

Never seen any whiff of a cancer problem with steroids. Lots of other
pretty bad stuff tho. Permanent skin damage, osteoporosis, diabetes,
cataracts… the list is long.
Awesome with the urine! Please keep us posted! ![]()

I use to use Hydro cortisone lotion on my [entire] face when I was in
my teen years. I used it for quite a while and my derm didnt tell
about the side effects, so thinking it was safe, I used about a nickel
to quarter sized amount of cream once or twice a day. I was wondering
if hydro cortisone could have done some damage. Would it’s effects
have disappeared after I quit using it or could I still be suffering
from it’s side effects? My SD never got any better after I stopped
using it (abruptly discontinued use some 3 or 4 years ago). I read
that it could cause Cushings syndrome and Addison’s disease. I seem to
exhibit a lot symptoms of Addison’s disease.
On the rosacea listserve everyoen is posting theit top 5
tips/products for dealing with skin problems. It thought it might be
productive if we did the same. I have recently had a bad reaction to
Elidel and Fluocinide. Recently prescribed Ketoconazole isn’t
helping. And denorex has completely dried out my skin so I am wide
open to suggestions. But here are my top 5
1. Aloe: works best in the summer less so in the winter. Reliefes
redness but can irritate if used to much
2. Cetaphil moisturizer: for dry and sensitive skin. Very light and
good for dryness. Though I cna only use it every so often as it can
irritate.
3. Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser: Good for a night time rinse of

Hi everyone, I have SD on the scalp and in the eyebrows, I also have
some hair loss caused by SD. I have been on the candida diet for 3
weeks now (grapefruit seed extract , coconut oil and Biosil for 1 week
) and been using Nizoral 2% shampoo for 2 weeks. I have also been
using tea tree oil every few days topically. I’ve noticed an increase
in big flakes, but over all the flaking seems to be better as well as
the redness is staring to go away. Hair loss has slowed slightly. Is
this a sign that my SD is staring to clear up? Do you have to shed the
old "diseased" skin to make way for healthy skin? Does anyone else
loose hair attached to flakes of skin? Any comments are appreciated!
Thanks, Mike
Has anyone tried hypnosis or guided imagery?
