Would this gel happen to use pimecrolimus or tacrolimus? I've read
that these two chemicals are very safe for long term use with very
little side affects.

To answer your questions, I'm using plain yogurt, with live and active
cultures. I put it on the affected areas of my face just before I
plan to shower. Usually it's on around 15 to 20 minutes. Others have
indicated that is too long a time. I'll cut back a bit and see what
happens. I try to do this every day, but sometimes I forget or run
out of time; it's not yet an ingrained part of my routine, so I
sometimes forget. I'm happy with the results so far.

I haven't tried it on my scalp. I use Nizoral shampoo very
successfully, so I don't feel the need yet, but perhaps I'll
experiment there, too.

Hi Robert,

I wasn't sure if your question was directed towards me. My regimen
is actually a combination of things since I suffer from acne,
dandruff and SD. If you are interested, please let me know and I'll
be happy to share my regimen.

Regards,

Amol

I use plain Dannon yogurt since it's usually on
sale. Somebody mentioned their skin getting red
after using it. Mine does too if I don't watch
the time carefully. I have extremely sensitive
skin and probably do not leave the yogurt on
longer than 5-8 minutes.

Also, I know the sd diet indicates that you
should not drink soda. What about diet clear
sodas? I'm horribly addicted to diet canada dry.

Thanks,
Andrea

Hi,

What is your yogurt regime?

Sounds like it might be worth a try at least.

Has anyone tried this?

Hi Kenne,

I'm glad to hear that the yogurt is working for you! How long do you
leave the yogurt on? Please make sure the redness is not a result of
leaving the yogurt on too long. I have been using yogurt regularly
over the years and the only long-term effect I have experienced is a
clear complexion (which is definitely a good thing!)
