Does anyone know??

Hi, my name is Lisa. I was informed by my doctor three or so weeks
ago that I have SD. I have had it since June of this year, and up
until my recent doctors appointment, I was treating it as acne.
Anyway, my question is, after the flair up is gone… does the
redness go away? I am using Elidel cream, and I no longer have any
bumps, but light redness is still visiable. My SD is in the crease
of my nose on both sides. The skin is red and almost leather like. I
have been steaming my face every other night, which may be helping.
In doing so I noticed that I do not have any pores on the
problematic areas, and all of the "pear fuzz" hair is no longer on
that portion of my face. Do these things get better?

Oh, and one other question… has anyone here used Proactive
Solutions?? I have a feeling that my SD was cause by using it. I
never had any facial problems, and for some reason I decided to use

proactive.. after two weeks both of my nose creases were red and
broken out almost to my chin… coincidense? maybe, but I am
strongly thinking it was from that.

Thank you in advance to anyone who replies!

I never had acne. For some reason, one day I decided I wanted to use
proactive (this was prior to me having SD). I order it, used it for
about a week, then noticed this rash on the sides of my nose. I
stopped using it, and later found out it was SD. So I believe that
it was caused by Proactive. I have never had any other symptom of SD
prior to using it, and since then, it really hasn’t gone away. It’s
expecially hard for me because I had a perfect complection 5 months
ago, and now I am constantly looking at this redness on my face. I
am sick of ignorant people asking me "eww, what that funky rash
around your nose??" or "what happened to your face?" it really makes
me not want to ever leave my house. It’s amazing how something like
SD can destroy someones self confidence.

Submerge a green tea bag in water and put it on the affected area for as
long as you want once a day. It seems to work for me and together with
my Chinese herb intake which balances the internal bodily condition.

    It really helps.

    Good Afternoon Group

I have been a member for this group since a long time now but have not came
in for a while only because after a long research approach and treatment
again I am telling you as a group to look internally for the best treatment
and long terms affects of sebderm. To make it short, I visited a
nutrionisth, homepath that treated me from the inside out and for over two
years now I have been seb derm free. Nutrion and internal health for most
should be the way to go. Stay away from steroids, antibiotics, and
dermatologists dont trust either of them
    take care

Bob she found out I had problems with my gut, and allergies, such as coffee
& black pepper, and I needed to detox my body, this coming from two natural
medicines. 1) Dr Player in the united states and 2) Chinense Herbalist in

    Gabriella,
I dont know how you can go back on previous posts here but there is a way I
mentioned numerous times about diet, nutrition, vitamin supplements,
detoxification, and the help of a homeopath or naturalpath, I had the luck
of visiting one doctor who was a chiropractor, Kinseologist, and natural
path and she lead me on the right track, She has a web site
    www.drplayer.com

I definitely agree….in Middle Eastern, Central Asian countries, people have
been using yogurt as a natural remedy to fight acne. I actually have been
    using it periodically for years.

I was diagnosed with an allergy to black pepper & coffee. Those wich i
loved the most and ate like crazy. So I avoided them went on a natural
detox, suppliments, plenty of water and treatments. I have till this day,
lost count already, has to be about 2 yrs no seb derm, no break outs, no
steroids, no antibiotics. I am clean. I do have a stubborn case of
psoriasis on the scalp that wont go away but has been dramitically reduced.

    Hi Tony–

how did you determine you were allergic to coffee and pepper? what
kind of tests did they do? was it covered by insurance? lots of
questions i know, but i think you are really on to something and have
been wondering how i can address allergies, especially if there are any
    medical tests that can help.

    thanks…larry

In the beginning stages of my detox it was very severe, Id say i was messed
up, embarrassed and stressed for a month. But after that month I began to
see positive changes. It took about a year. Now I do drink alcohol and a
cup of coffee. My body needed some detoxifying then some rest and now back
    in action baby
