Atopic dermatitis

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Hello everyone once more!

I want to tell you about some changes with me, my treatment and my
skin condition.

Like everyone in this group I was sure that I have SD and the
symptomps told me the same. I knew that I’m allergic but I did not
gave much attention to that fact.

Two weeks ago I went to the clinic which is dedicated to healing
people who suffer from allergy and atopic dermatitis. After some tests
and a story about myself I got a new diagnosis - atopic dermatitis.

What for SD? The doctor told me that SD is frequently observed if you
have atopic dermatitis but nevertheless the real disease is atopic.

IBS and Gut Problems

Monday, January 8th, 2007

A few of you emailed me about your gut problems. Many of you have
more problems than Seborrhea so perhaps you are seeing the wrong
doctor? Mine was a natural holistic type doctor including the
nutritionist and chiropracter…all with the same philosophy..natural
healing to the root of the problem.

If you’ve read the testimonials on Dr. Natura website you will notice
that there were people with IBS. Read this and decide for yourselves
with the help of your doctor.

Gut Problems…Relief

The food and water you eat and drink the food water you don’t eat and
drink could relieve your IBS and more.

Colon Cleansing - Dr. Natura

Sunday, January 7th, 2007

Not convinced. I don’t blame you because I wasn’t at first.
Wondering whats inside?

So take a look at www.drnatura.com but don’t buy anything cuz it’s
pricey. Take a look at the pictures, slightly graphic. Read
testimonials as well.

Also do a little search for colon cleanse products and see what you
come up with. Post or email. You all need to understand what your
taking and what its doing for you. There are differences between
products some better than others but all do get to the point at
different price points as well.

Read listen and learn. Educating not medicating.

natural treatment update

Friday, January 5th, 2007

Im still willing to try anything to get rid of my "problem areas;" beard/cheeks,
sides of nose, eyebrows, moustache/corners of mouth(the list goes on and on)
scalp(at least its hidden)!! and ever-so-slightly in my "lower regions." i do
feel fortunate i am only dealing with (what seems like) a relatively mild case.
im also new at this; 6-8 months along.

i cant say enough about the diet. thats about all im doing, in addition to a few
supplements: omegas (EPA 900mg/day), vit-c, and the occasional multi-v. i dont
take vit-e because of the avoid-at-all-cost policy the ACV group suggests. go
figure.
any thoughts on vit-e? take it or not?

my dietary guidelines are as follows: avoid if at all possible (will plays a
HUGE part): chocolate, alcohol, refined sugar, hydrogenated fats, gluten and
dairy. coffee was on there, but im way hooked again, after a 2 month hiatus. it

Thanks Ronnie-I agree!

Friday, January 5th, 2007

Thanks for the advice, and I agree whole heartily with
you that what’s wrong with my skin is about what’s
going on inside my body, not outside. My troubles
began more than a year ago immediately following a
serious diverticulitis bleed that landed me in the
hospital.
(I had no idea I had intestinal problems before this
happened). After 2 weeks of antibiotics my face broke
out in what I first thought was hives, but has morphed
into this Rosacea/SD thing I am now learning to live
with. I know that nothing I put on my face, or any
drug they give me will cure me, found that all out the
hard way. I’m on your path now, I LOVE WHOLE FOODS!
Wish I had bought their stock years ago instead of
those stupid tech stocks, I’d be a millionaire now.

The Nizoral Cure

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

good news another miracle shampoo!!!! im so excited it will solve all
my problems and I’ll be sitin pretty

wow that’s like putting a bandaid on my check engine light in my
car..haha

been there done that
so lets see what’s in it. According to the Environmental Working Group
that’s the largest group in the country that monitors the safety of
skin care products among other things. Look up everyhting its in
there.
Some products are safe and others aren’t.

this gets a 3 moderate ranking all those toxic chemicals linked to
disease.

Last Question Tonight-Are There Foods I Should Avoid?

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

I read somewhere along the way that foods like Salmon
make SD worse because of their high oil content or the
omegas are too high or something like that. I eat a
lot of salmon and eat a lot of foods high in the
omegas and take omega supplements. Am I making my SD
worse by eating these things? Thanks, Roxanne

First Question About Nizoral

Monday, January 1st, 2007

My derm gave me Nizoral 2% and told me go home be
happy this would cure my SD. I don’t really have it
very far into my scalp, just around my face/hairline,
eyebrows ( and forehead between and above eyebrows),
and sides of my nose. I hate using this shampoo all
over my head cause it guarantees me a "bad hair day".
So I use it on days I don’t have to go out to work.
My questions are….can I use it on my face, my nose
and eyebrows, and how long should I let it stay on
before washing it off? And most importantly will it
inflame my Rosacea if I put it on my face? My Rosacea
is type 1 only with flushing and sun, heat and stress
induced. At this point I choose not to treat since
the metrogels and edidels and whatever else they gave
me made my redness and sensitivity worse, and I’m not

Newbie here-Sorry it took so long to introduce myself!

Monday, January 1st, 2007

Thanks to the moderator for emailing me to get off my
butt and post instead of lurk. I apologize, I think I
signed up a couple months ago, but got you mixed up in
my links with the Sub Derm site about apple cider
vinegar which didn’t get my attention so I lost your
link. I really do want to be a part of this board, so
please give me time to read more back posts and to
tell you all about my story. I have a lot of
questions, but want to read through a few pages of
posts before blasting off with a bunch of questions.
My name is Roxanne, I’m 51 and live in N. Calif. I
was blessed my whole life with near perfect skin, and
probably took it for granted until I turned 50 and all
hell broke loose on my face. After a year of seeing
docs being tested for Lupus, Sclerederma, and every
