Need help
Hi guys, my name is Douglas and i just joined this group, and yes,
i’m suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis, and its not a guess, my
private doctor, who’s also a dermatologist told me so after
examining my condition. The outline of my nose, corners of upper and
lower lip are red and flaky. I seriously do not know what to do.
Doctor first gave a moisturizing cream, which failed. My condition
worsened, affected skin areas became very tight, and I could not
even bite hard food stuffs. I saw him again, and he prescribed some
sort of pills which would desensitize the skin, and he gave me
another cream, which is oilier. These pills helped, my skin became
less red, and the new cream really moisturizes the skin, considering
that is really very oily. I finished the pills, and gradually it
came back, and i went back to him asking for more of the pills, but
he refused, saying it should not be taken long term, and that i
should rely more on the cream. What seems to be the problem? Is it
my diet? Or is it the facial cleanser i am using? I’m using a normal
cleanser by Simple.
If it has something to do with my diet, please tell me what i should
avoid, or should increase intake. I heard taking cod liver oil
helps, is that credible? Please someone help me out here, i can’t
take it anymore. I can’t shave, i don’t even dare to stand in
brightly lit areas because of this. I really feel like a vampire
now. Someone please reply me. Thanks alot.

Hi Doug,
I can tell you what I feel has helped me and you can
go from there. I use organic Jajoba oil for a
moisturizer, anti-fungal cream on the spots and wash
my face 2xwk with prescription Nizoral shampoo. My
diet I changed and went on a yeast free, gluten free,
dairy free and vegetarian diet - sounds extreme which
it is but I feel it really helps keep it under
control, I just hope it keeps working. Hope this
helps if you decide to try it. Rob.

I also use Jajoba oil when needed. I think it is
important to get your vitamins/minerals in daily.

Ok I need your help. Today my face is really really bad
I am very red which is kind of normal lately, but I have some
patches that are very hard and crusty yellow and white flakes,
When pick at them they seems to have a little oil or moisture under
them, not much I can see it though, and if I touch it i see what looks
like water spots on my finger. Has anyone experianced this and
if so what has helped you. It is covering my whole face almost, but
the crust spots are only in a couple places. I also was checking out
dermadoctor the other day has anyone tried there cutanix products, that
product doesnt have the usual ingrediants I usaually see in it.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and yes that spam crap is getting annoying.
