Atopic dermatitis
Hello everyone once more!
I want to tell you about some changes with me, my treatment and my
skin condition.
Like everyone in this group I was sure that I have SD and the
symptomps told me the same. I knew that I’m allergic but I did not
gave much attention to that fact.
Two weeks ago I went to the clinic which is dedicated to healing
people who suffer from allergy and atopic dermatitis. After some tests
and a story about myself I got a new diagnosis - atopic dermatitis.
What for SD? The doctor told me that SD is frequently observed if you
have atopic dermatitis but nevertheless the real disease is atopic.
So the treatment is different and it helps. I’ve started with atoderm
soap and creme - great moistening and skin care! Plus Elidel a bit to
reduce the inflammation. No steroids at all. Test for allergens and
biochemical blood analysis would reveal more deep and personal healing.
I’ve suffered greatly after I cancelled steroids three-four weeks ago
and nothing helped (nizoral for example) - my face was in awful state
but two weeks of atoderm+elidel therapy helped GREATLY.
Plus of course I try to keep diet. No fried/fat foods, no sugar, no
junk food. In general try to eat less snacks and chemicals - eat more
natural food three/four times a day. Have a good sleep and fresh air.
No alcohol, no sigarettes.
Do you have atopic dermatitis?
There are some questions to be answered.
Do you have allergy?
Ask your parents if you had dermatitis in infancy.
You skin is not oily - its dry
The main reason of your skin damage is itching
If so you can likely have atopic dermatitis. Good luck in healing and
take care of yourself.

i doubt u get the brown scales of SD from allergy.
also the flaky skin.
one can also tell if the skin is oily.(especially the
nose)
but i can see where a misdiagnosis can be made

I remember someone writing about how they had some symptoms where
there skin was oozing some kind of puss. Anyway, I found some
information on Atopic dermatitis that talks about that. Maybe that’s
what you have and if it is you can find a better solution. Just
passing it along.
"People with atopic dermatitis and their families should learn to
recognize signs of skin infections, including tiny pustules (pus-
filled bumps) on arms and legs, appearance of oozing areas, or crusty
yellow blisters."
I’ve been reading about it online for a while and that kinda sounds
like what I might have. Well I go to my derma next week so I’m going
to have to bring this up to him and see what he says.
