Green Tea Cream & Dermadoctor
Hey folks,
Here’s an update from yours truly. I’ve mainly been struggling with my
mild rosacea/seb derm skin for quite some time now and stumbled upon
Dr Syed and his Green Tea Cream (www.syedbeauty.com), which has gotten
a lot of praise by other rosaceans and I decided to try it for myself
after being offered a deal I couldn’t resist. I’ve been using the
cream for one week now, Dr Syed says it could take up to 4-5 weeks to
see any real result, but I think I can already now see an improvement
in my overall skin health. The cream is expensive but contains extract
from the most exclusive kind of green tea, and Dr Syed himself
customizes the cream for every individual. He’s a very nice and
intelligent person and really do cares. He doesn’t believe in getting
someone hooked on a medication, cream or whatever, but says this is a
one-time treatment that may include the use of 2-3 jars, but that
should be it. Of course everyone is different, but I thought this
should be interesting for some of you guys as well. Check it out, it
could be the smartest move you’ve made in a long while.
As for the new Dermadoctor product, looks interesting indeed. But I
was very disappointed with their Calm, Cool & Corrected and have
almost a brand new, full bottle if anyone’s interested. But I’m
looking forward to hearing the reports. My favourite cleansers right
now are Nivea for Men Sensitive Face Wash and one containing Calendula
Oil, among other things, which is also something many have had success
with for their redness. I got it from a woman on eBay who makes her
own all natural and really terrific stuff.

Andy,
I Googled Dr. Syed and found this link on Dr. Nase’s site:
It notes that the green tea cream is not the same cream that was
tested on rosacea sufferers. Do you know what the difference is?
I’ve recently started using a cream called Atopalm MLE Cream, which
is supposed to restore the lipid barrier. I’ve only been using it one
week and haven’t noticed much difference in redness (I don’t have
rosacea, just sebderm). But it has many positive reviews pertaining
to relief from redness, so I’m hoping that it makes a bigger
difference after I’ve used it at least a couple of weeks. I’m trying
this as part of the skin care regime recommended in the Skin Type
Solution book, which customizes recommendations based on 16 basic
skin types.
On the other hand, Calm, Cool and Corrected has mostly negative
reviews posted on web sites, but it seems to help relieve my redness
somewhat within a day or two, with continuing improvements. I use
Elidel, but only when my flare ups are very bad. I hadn’t heard
anything about it thinning skin as steroids are known to do. Has
anyone else’s dermatologist mentioned this?
Andy, keep us informed on your results with Dr. Syed’s cream.

Sharon,
I believe Dr Syed also sells a "standard" version of his cream for all
over skin rejuvenation, and customizes the ones specifically for
rosacea, as I mentioned.
