damn!!!
Hi people i’ll tell u my story..
I have sebderm for a year..i didnt knew what was it so i didnt really
payed much attention…but it gotted worse so i decided to go to a derm
about it.Sebderm was his diagnosis and he gave me a shampoo and Elidel
to use for a month.By the way my prob is red patches and a lot of
itching out of nowhere leaving a red dot if i wont touch it…general
redness mostly on my cheeks…and flushing in several circumstances. The
first 2 weeks i had amazing resaults!!!No more itching no more red
dots..and the redness to my cheeks subsided a lot,Only the flushes were
on sometimes but no so often! After 20 days…i dont know what
happened…i think Elidel stopped working or something….all the
symptoms are back…is there a chance Elidel to stop working after some
time?Anyone had that kind of expierience?

NO! There is no cure. It can be controlled with proper care. I
suggets also going to see a dietician to change your diet. My skin
feels a whole lot better after eating right, applying elidel, not
stressing as much and going to yoga. All of these things have
contributed in controlling this retched disease.
The more you worry about it, the more aggressive it will get. You
now have it, so try to stop thinking of the negatives and focus on
the positives.
One day we will all be cured! Have you tried Blue Light Laser
Treatment?

Ok i gotted back from my derm and i seem confused..she told me that i
should stop using Elidel anymore and she gave me another cream which
is Dermopur and she told me to use that everyday from now on.Elidel
is now only in my plans when i get flare ups.She also told me that i
look very good and as far for the redness in my cheeks the redness
and the red marks will fade away with time.In her room 2 more
dermatologists were in and they told me that sebderm cant be
cured..its a disease that comes and goes…all i can do is control it.
>I also been told to stop using the shampoo i was prescribed for my
head cause my head is clear.I feel happy….and worried at the same
time…what i should do from now on?Should i stay on using tha cream
which i have no idea what is about(i’ll give u details when i’ll get
in in my hands)or should i go to a third dermatologists for another
opinion?I feel lost.

My dermatologist has given me several different
medications to try. I would just try what he gives you
and choose the one that you think works best for you.
Try to stay away from steroids. They thin your skin
and over time loose their effectiveness. I use
protopic. My dermatologist said it is like elidel just
a little stronger. I just use my meds when I notice
the seb derm coming back.

Roxanna is right Derek, use what is best for you. It’s your skin! I
find elidel is the best by a country mile and best has no STEROIDS,
which have thinned my skin a little as I was on elecon for over 1
year.
Try the new cream your Derm gave you and if you see no results or
improvemnet, then I would continue with the elidel when you have a
flare up. Unfortunatley my friend, they were right in saying there
is no cure, it’s just one of those terrible things we must live with.
Keep your chin up mate, just remember there are people out there
that are far worse than us all.
