Just wondered if anyone had pictures they would like to contribute to
the group. It would be helpful to see how everyones condition varies.
It would also be nice to put a face to the friends we are making. Just
a thought.
I have a lot of flaking on my face. A great deal on my cheeks,
moustache, and chin area. Also to a lesser extent on my forehead. I
don’t know what I’m supposed to use to get rid of it. I have followed
the my dermatologists recommendation of using products like
ketoconazole and rosula (which has sodium sulfacetamide -sulfur), but
they’ve done nothing to help. Another derm that I saw suggested that I
use Aquaphor ointment, which has petrolatum (basically similar to
Vaseline). But my current doctor stressed, "It’s not a dry skin
problem!" So using lotions, creams, ointments can very well just be
aggrivating the seborrhea. I’ve tried them just to see what would
happen, and the condition remained the same. Maybe I should try the
salycic acid found in products like Aveeno.
