Hi,

I have SD that comes and goes on my face/forehead but have developed
some spots that itch and get very raw/hurt under my arm on the border
of the hair portion - my derm said it is a contact dermatitis and just
wants me to elimidate the deodarant I have been on for years which is
jason natural roll on. Does anyone else get this under their arms and
what is the best way to treat it. The doctor gave me some steroid
cream with an anti-fungal. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks,

Has anyone tried Dr Andrew Weil’s new skin products
at Origins, sold at May Co. Stores? They suopposedly
are anti-inflamatory. They contain medicinal mushrooms
likie cordyceps and mitashake.

I just wanted to wish everybody a merry xmas and a safe and happy new
year.

Hopefully 2006 will be a seb derm free year for us all!

I was wondering if spicy foods could trigger seb derm? I have a love
of spicy Thai foods and hot mexican foods and was told by my GP that
spicy foods could inflame the seb derm.

Anybody else heard this?

Also, I am using a 1% strength steroid cream at present to control my
inflamation, with this low potency could I be doing long term damage
to my skin?

I was wondering what side effects fellow users got after stopping
using them. I have been using HYDROZOLE on my face for about 3 months
on and off and since stopping have developed little pimple like things
on my face. Seems as though I have broken out with something and its
really itchy, so not sure if there is an infection present or wether
my seb derm has flared up(again!).

I went out and bought the Aveeno ‘clear complexion foaming
cleanser’…big mistake. I should have read the back of the bottle. It
wasn’t until after I tried it out that I immediately recognized one of
the awful ingredients: FRAGRANCE. This is a big ‘no no’ for seb derm,
as it typically will aggrivate the condition. What a waste of $7. I
immediately formed a red spot after using it. Does anyone know if the
Johnson and Johnson brand with salycic acid contains a fragrance?

Guy’s , I have been trying a cream for red inflammed, dry itchy skin
that has had a pretty good result so far. It’s called: Hopes eczma
cream and although i do not have eczma but rather seb derm, it applies
quite thick but transparent and is all 100% natural! No steroids which
gives me little pimples after I take a break from using such creams.

but have a read and I would not post this unless it gave me some
relief as I know how frustrating our condition is. I am more trying to
get rid of the constant inflamation on my face and the constant
itchyness.

I am also thinking of going to get a chemical peel done. Does anybody
have any experiience with such a treatment that I shoulsd know about?
