Tips that worked for me.

My name is Aaron and I’ve had Seb-derm for about 3 years or so.
I am 26 years old. I have been reading the posts here for a while
but never posted myself til now. Although I haven’t tackled this
problem totally, I have made quite a bit of headway against it. I
don’t watch what I eat; but I don’t smoke or drink. I limited
taking my acid reflux medication (protonix) as this stops production
of stomach acid needed to absorb vitamin B6.

I started taking orange peel extract, apple cider vinegar
tablets, and wash my face twice a day. I take luke warm showers,
use head and shoulders (refresh mint) and alternate with a normal
shampoo so my scalp dosen’t get use to it. I try not to let things
stress me out, and don’t put anything on my face, besides lotion on
the dry flakes that I sometimes get after a shower and wipe it off
lightly with a kleenex. In the summer I use Ozone 70 Spf made by

Hawaian Tropics, as I sweat a lot because I work outdoors. I put it
on once in the morning, and wash my face when I get home. Also if
you are outdoors wearing a hat helps. In the winter it helps to use
a lotion with windscreen in it if your gonna be outside very long;
Only once per day though. Also don’t try any steriod creams or
products for sebderm, I tried Proteque lotion, and psoriasin and
neither helped, only made it worse.

These are some of the things I have used to defeat this
socially embarassing disorder. I used to have a bright red face
especially in the summer, and just wanted to go home and die. My
condition is about 75-80% better now, and my advice is to hang in
there, try what works best for you for maximum relief, and stick
with it. I wish all of you fellow endurers a Happy New and
Victorius New Year!
