cure
Having the best winter of my life in the uk. Usually its the worst
time for my seb derm and life is hell. In last year i have used
Salcura topically to go deep into the skin layers and kill the
bacteria that starts the immune system wanting to attack its self. I
addition In am a few weeks into using an immune system booster and
detox formula called Ambrotose…its quite a controversial product but
th stuff really works….makes you feel a bit flu like as it detoxs
you though. James

Hi,
I also find that Protopic has been most helpful but
everyone keeps freaking me out about the possible
cancer risk. My dermatologist said to keep using
Protopic sparingly until because further testing needs
to be done regards to the safety of Protopic. I also
find that plain cornstarch applid dry to the face
helps. Is it usual for people with sebderm to get
tiny pimple like lesions without the white head?
Thanks, Rob.

Hi Jay,
Define bad? I’m surprised it increased reaction as it ultimately is
a deep working antifungal, antibacterial solution..which in my mind
would slow the immune reaction to the skin. But when i first used it
actually my face did get quite red for the first few weeks…but
only for first 15-30 minutes. Maybe as the solution killed the
fungal infection it releases toxins that initially give a
reaction..but this is pure conjecture. I really recommend trying
beyond the intial period, as it is a natural product so you know it
is not damaging your skin. A bit tip is to not use so much maybe a
few squirts onto your hand and rub it it and not spray on face I
found is much more effective and also dosen’t affect the eyes. Try
using it just at night at first maybe, cause a flare up is not
nessecarily a bad sign but more a good one. I have found that it
really improves in efectiveness as you use it and the skin layers
are cleansed by the solution. The ambrotose in conjunction is really
making a big combined difference as well!
i know the pain of researching this condition and hearing constantly
there is no cure…but i believe you can now hold the symptoms back.
I think after years of this condition, my belief is it is really
simple really. Sebaceous glands pushing grease coming up onto the
upper layers of the skin are affected by the level of fungi and
bacteria in the blood system proably originating in a sluggish liver
not detoxing the blood. This combined with the fungi loving the
greasy environment on the skin are a constant trigger for immune
attack. So all medication/diet etc is really doing one of two things
minimising the infection on the skin or the immune reaction to that
perceived invasion. Protopic is going in at immune reaction level. I
would love to convice sufferers how badly i had this condition and
my new life now but it is hard to convice some people and I can’t
blame them I have bought a lot of snake oil in my time. But really
the condition is stright forward and while unless this ambrotose
really permanently detoxs my system, which i am not losing hope
on….there is no cure as properly defined but I have a natural way
to almost 98% to hold all symptoms back with this combination at the
moment. But I realise this condition maybe be slightly different for
different sufferers.James

Interesting,
Cold weather never bothered this Finnlander with SD, but it sure
bothers my psoriasis! Nothing like a good cup of coffee, or green or
Oolong tea to warm me up.
If you live in the U.S.A, and want to Boost Immunity, try Rezist Plus
(a dietry Supplement) by Watkins.

Hi Rob,
I have both Seborrheic Dermatitis and Psoriasis, and just came off
of Protopic. Protopic worked great! But only to a point. I was just
put on Clobetasol Propionate Solution for the scalp, and Clobetasol
Ointment for my knuckles and neck area, and I believe it works a lot
better then Protopic. With Protopic, I had to keep the sun off of my
face and could not get the protopic wet. With Clobetasol ointment I
can put the ointment on moist or damp skin and the sun does not
bother me.
