I was given doxycycline to treat Blepharitis which I
believe is linked to seb derm. So far I've been on the
medication for 3 months and the blepharitis still
flares up on occasion.

I'm new to this, but from what I'm reading, antibiotics would not
directly combat the fungus that causes seb derm, and could possibly
make things worse.

I'd be really curious to hear from folks who have been prescribed
doxycycline (or other antibiotics) whether your doctor gave an
explanation of why the antibiotic is thought to help with seb derm.
