Not to be contrary, but you should know that there's some indication
that Protopic causes lymphoma. I was on it for a year, but the
evidence is pretty compelling so I went off of it. My condition is
actually much better w/what I've done since (laser, microderm,
moisturizer, B vitamins).

Andy: The dermadoctor products that I listed in my previous reply to
you are fine. It was Vanicream products that I ordered for my face
from dermadoctor that had limited results. I should have been clearer.

While I'm add it, I might as well add the following info: I was given
a few soy products from Bath and Body Works (as a gift) under the Pure
Simplicity logo. I tried the Soy Sensitive Skin Calming Self-foaming
face wash and the Soy body wash once, and went back to my 100% all
natural face and body wash products.

Hi Andy: I used Tease zone, Picture porefect, and body guard.

I used Tease zone followed a few minutes later with Picture porefect
to control the flow of oil on my nose. On hot sunny days, I would
add Body Guard to my forehead prior to going outside.

I still recommend using these three products for the T-Zone area if
prescribed meds are not working. Knock on wood, I have not had any
flar ups since I started using clobetasol solution on my nose and
scalp and changed my medicated shampoo from P&S shampoo to DHS SAL
by Person & Covey. I ordered online at www.personandcovey.com

<!--more-->
By the way, since I prefer shaving with a brush and mug, I also
ordered the DHS Clear Shampoo. It's a fragrane-free, color-free
version of their DHS Shampoo. "DHS CLEAR is designed for especialy
sensitive patients who prefer daily hair and scalp cleansing."

Hi Dustie: Protopic and water do not mix. In fact your supposed to
put Protopic on dry skin and you're supposed to stay out of the sun
with Protopic on or you'll feel like your melting. I only used it in
the evenings after washing up or 30 minutes after a shower. Usually
my skin was clear in the morning, so I only added a non-comedogenic
sunscreen, like DermaDoctor Boby Guard with spf 30.

Best to you,
Dan

Dear Tony Baloney: Do you have a reading problem? Sure I use over
the counter products with chemicals and drug prescriptions, but I
also use 100% all natural products too! In fact I buy them from this
site: www.The-Natural-Shop.com

I'm considering ordering one or two of the books about AVCM, along
with a bottle of AVCM to sample some of the remedies listed, but I
WILL NOT put any ACVM on my face! Anyway, my face is not broke out.
That's because I only use 100% all natural products on my face.
Which pretty much destroys your "Chemical Ali" humor. :-)

I've tried different products on my face from Dermadoctor, but with
limited results, so I went back to 100% all natural products from:
www.The-Natural-Shop.com

<!--more-->
I've also changed shampoo. From P&S Shampoo to DHS SOL shampoo for
my SD and Psoriasis. DHS SOL is fragrant free. Are you aware
FRAGRANCE in skin care products are the root of most skin problems?
Same goes for what you wear (I only wear cotton), and what you wash
clothes with (we only use fragrant free laundry soap).

I agree with you 100%. If you check my previous posts all the way from the
beginning when things were very bad with me, I use to say i would even eat
dog crap and wipe that on my face if it worked. Then i used to go around
saying Vitamin B for bullet - that always works to. I understand 100%
completely what you all are going through. Im still in it to. We are all
one big happy family!! Just ask my cousin Talami Salami

Its easy to call someone chemical mad Tony, but until youve got a
body covered with eczema and various other conditions, you have no
idea why people go with perscription drugs. I do becuase i just
cant handle life without using them... might be bad, sad whatever
but at least it works. If there was something else that did the job
i would switch without doubt. I hate using chemicals on my body but
theres fook all else out there thats so effective.

Because of my diet, the eczema is almost fully under control.... i
can live with that. But for the seb-derm i just have not found
anything else that works. I tired Protopic, but it makes my skin
hurt alot. When water touches my skin after using that it hurts and
it feels uncomfortable every other time. I tried Elidel as well but
didnt do anything either. But the vitamins and flax and other stuff
like zinc do help. I really do think that the answer lies
<!--more-->
internally Dan, your right there. And i should explore that avenue
alot more, but its difficult to try everything financially as well.

cheers for the suggestions

Dr. Dan,

with the amount of chemicals you use in your life time your new name now is
"Chemical Ali". The core of this group is the unsatisfaction and
realization that dermatologist really do not help our condition what so
ever. We are looking for a different approach because if there was that
magical ointment i dont think this group would exist. People have tried
ACVM, majority of them with positive results, few have not succeeded. Sure
they wash their face with it and applying to their scalps, even sprinkle it
on their salads. But i will tell you this, it tastes a whole lot better
sprinkling Apple Cider Vinigar on my salad than Clobestol or what ever you
use. My approach is from the inside out. So far so good, i havnt seen a
Dermatologist in about 2 years, no ointments, no treatments. As i mentioned
before, and I know how much it itches your ass to hear this, as long as i
avoid the foods that I am allergic to or food sensativities (e.g., food
<!--more-->
sensitivities, poor digestion, nutritional
deficiencies, etc.) as you mentioned before in your posts im ok, if not
cured so damed under control i feel like a million bucks. Tony Baloney
