another cool thing i’ve found that helps me
I just got my first microdermabrasion, and it sanded off all of the
flakes. Works like a charm! I am going to experiment with getting
them every 7-10 days to see what happens. This might not work for
everyone (it might be irritating for some people), but through B
vitamins and Clinique Redness Relief, I’ve pretty much eliminated my
redness and irritation, and am just left with a few flakes. I
exfoliate them each morning w/a grainy scrub, which works well, but now
I’m getting greedy and want my skin PERFECT
This microderm sands it
smooth! It’s worth a try if you’re vain and have some extra cash lying
around!

Hi,
Please keep me posted on your progress because I have
been debating to do Microderm or IPL and I here
pro/con on both for sebderm. Robert.

I would like to know more about microdermabrasion as it relates to SD.
When I asked my Derm about it she was against the procedure. Thanks!

What did she give as a reason she was against it? The only bad thing
I’ve heard about them is that some people think the results are pretty
mild. Some people, though, swear by them and think they’re the best
thing since sliced bread. I think you have to keep getting them to
keep the results, though.
After having just one, I’d say that it’s good for the sebderm. It
basically just gently sandblasts off your excess skin — something
which we sebderm types have a lot of. It made my skin soft, though red
for a few hours. My main hope is that it will make my pores look
smaller and will make my skin less oily. Apparently it does that by
cleaning out the pores of debris. I’m going for my second appt this
Friday, so I’ll be sure to post my results to the list as I plan to get
them about every ten days for a couple of months to see what happens.
