DRL Sensitive or Extra-Strength?

Tuesday, February 14th, 2006

Hi all.

I hope you’re doing well. After the Elidel cancer connection I
purchased Cutanix DRL the oily/acne version and I am overall
satisfied. Even I think that in my case, the DRL achieved better
effects than Elidel. DRL made my skin less inflamed, non-scaling
aloving me more compact appereance. Elidel was making my skin very
sensitive and reactive to anything, which is not the case with the DRL.

Anyways, I used the bottle(lasted about 2 months) and I wanna try
extra-strenght or sensive versions. Anyone tried these in addition to
the acne/oily version. I notice the burning sensation after appliyng
the product that lasts 2-3 seconds, but I don’t notice any visible
irritation on my scin. Maybe, sensitive is better–does it has the
same strength compared to oily/acne version?

Question for Mads

Thursday, February 9th, 2006

You know I was truly impressed with DERMAdoctor’s Tease Zone Oil
Control Gel, and btw - it doesn’t seem to be to harsh for my otherwise
very sensitive skin.

I saw that CCC also contains these Sebum Sequestering Micro-Particles,
and I wanted to ask you if you find that CCC does a good job of
keeping your excess sebum in check?

Thanks

New treatments for psoriasis

Tuesday, February 7th, 2006

I just read an article which mentions three new treatments for
psoriasis, which have been very successful and are the first of their
kind. One is the very first biological weapon against psoriasis, and I
was thinking this might be something for those with severe seborrheic
dermatitis as well?

They are called Remicade (infliximab), Raptiva(efalizumab) and Enbrel
(etanercept).

Help - Sub Derm Long Term Newbe???

Monday, February 6th, 2006

I have had the heavy dose of red inflamed face then skin shedding for
many years. I’ve gone through the differing 1%-2% Cort. cream drill
only to have become addicted and had to go cold turkey last spring. I
then tried laser, which after four $200/pop treatments it was pretty
evident that did not work. The redness is a pain, but the skin
shedding (mainly face - nose eyebrows, shaving areas)is beyond a mere
hassle. I’ve lost faith in the Derms as they always refer back to the
Czone creams and merely put me back on the cycle.

I recognize the need for a treatment for the redness as well as the
shedding, but really want to get the amost daily shedding under
control. I used Cetaphil cream but it only masks the problem.

I’ve decided to start searching for help elsewhere, which is how I
arrived here. I’ve been surfing this group and have not really found

How Do You Represent Yourself w/SD?

Friday, February 3rd, 2006

I was just wondering about this because SD obviously effects ones
appearance and how others percieve you. I’m a student and I will be
entering the professional world soon. I’m kind of nervous about how I
will be percieved in the business world w/ SD. I keep reading all
these articles about how physical appearance determines if you get
hired or how much you will make and I’ve never actually seen anyone
else with it. So, if you guys could help me out and let know some of
your workplace experiences with SD or what kind of work you guys do
that would be helpful.

Thanx.
