IPL TREATMENTS?
Hi
I am new to the group and would like to know if anyone has had any luck
with Intense Pulse Light treatments. I am scheduled to have a series
of 3, at 2-3 weeks apart, on Sep 16th for a big price tag of $1200.00
and besides it being pricey I am very nervous about it so if anyone has
pros or cons on it I would be interested. Thanks, Robert.

i am a 29 yr caucasian male. i’ve had sd for 10 years, but mine
probably falls under the ‘milder’ form of the affliction.
that said, it still sucks!
i’ve had 6 IPLs over 6 months.
degree of success is yet to be fully determined.
i definately notice my skin is smoother- and less ‘plaquey’.
redness?- again, an improvement- but not gone completely..
flakiness- unsure. not worse- but to be honest, not as improved as i
had hoped.
i know some people talk of their skin getting more sensitive after
having these treatments. that was a concern of mine, but i appear to
be unscathed in that regard. i thought- f**k it!! gotta have a go!!
just (try to) be confident in the doc you are seeing. you may have to
persevere- 6 treatments might not be enough.
i’ll probably have another 6 treatments between now and the end of
next year. hopefully however in that time, they will have
undercovered a new treatment that completely clears this cursed
condition by swallowing 1 pill. COME ON MEDICAL SCIENCE!!! HURRY!!!!
