DRL Sensitive or Extra-Strength?
Hi all.
I hope you’re doing well. After the Elidel cancer connection I
purchased Cutanix DRL the oily/acne version and I am overall
satisfied. Even I think that in my case, the DRL achieved better
effects than Elidel. DRL made my skin less inflamed, non-scaling
aloving me more compact appereance. Elidel was making my skin very
sensitive and reactive to anything, which is not the case with the DRL.
Anyways, I used the bottle(lasted about 2 months) and I wanna try
extra-strenght or sensive versions. Anyone tried these in addition to
the acne/oily version. I notice the burning sensation after appliyng
the product that lasts 2-3 seconds, but I don’t notice any visible
irritation on my scin. Maybe, sensitive is better–does it has the
same strength compared to oily/acne version?
What about the extra-strength version? Does it achieve more than the
regular versions?
Any feedback will be greatly valued. Thanks in advance.
BTW, to those that experience acne breakouts–
I used to get some anoying pimples for about 7 years. After changing
my diet, those were gone in a week. After a month I’m still clear. So,
acne has EVERYTHING to do with diet, opposed to the derm ‘myth’
thinking.
Here’s what I changed in my diet–
I just eliminated SUGARS and breads(high glycemic value foods). The
rest of my diet remained unchanged! So, I can still eat anything I want
(including some fast foods–i’m college student, can’t do without
them:). This diet connection started to get recognized by the derms.
Do the search about it on the net(dermadoctor has an article about
this).
The diet connection can’t be clearer–
After eating the foods on my suspect list(yes, I made one), I breakout
in a matter of hours! After staying away from them, I’m clear again in
3-4 days(while the pimple dries away). Bread and chocolate made me
breakout most easily. Yes, the ’severity’ of the suspect foods, is
proportional with the severity of the acne breakouts you’ll get.
I suggest start with the least heavy foods, see how that goes. After
you notice effects, start introducing foods one by one. Make a list of
the foods that are irritating, and stay away from them.
The derm community has a LONG WAY from solving the acne problem or
skin problems in general. They sux big time, in my oppinion.
I really hope this will work for you.

Ice

I purchased Cutanix Dramatic Relief (Normal to Dry skin) recently,
as I noticed lots of people were finding it relieved their SD
symptoms. Sadly, it makes my face VERY red as soon as I apply it.
I’ve emailed the company to find out if this is normal, and whether
or not I should continue/discontinue with it, but as yet no reply -
so am not using it at present. I guess I could be one of the unlucky
ones who doesn’t tolerate the active ingredient in this product, but
it is a pity.

I have been using DRL for over a month. I am using the extra
strength. I notice a little burning when I first put it on. That
feeling has decreased over the past 3-4 weeks. I also notice a little
redness sometimes when I first put it on, but that is also becoming
less of an issue. I also just started taking Periostat pills. That
seems like it is helping also. I think I have rosecea, so I am not
sure that is the same thing that others are trying to cure.
I would be interested in hearing more about foods that seem to
aggravate it. One thing I cut out completely is coffee. For me that
really stirs up symptoms.
