Blepharitis

Sunday, February 26th, 2006

Well, I’ve come to realize that I suffer from seborrheic dermatis and
wondered if anyone had any suggestions on how to treat the blepharitis
flare ups. I’m taking doxycycline and had a flar up yesterday while on
the med. Each day I try to remember to clean my eyelids in the shower
but man this is getting old!

Any advice???

Thanks!

DERMAdoctor’s Calm, Cool & Corrected

Friday, February 24th, 2006

Hey everyone,

I’ve been wanting a bottle of my own, and just ordered since I found
it on eBay for $63, which is a hell of a lot better than $85 when
purchasing directly from DERMAdoctor.

just to finsih I think antifungal creams are the treatment that goes
in the right direction but that only go some way into the pore and
into the skin but mainly stays on upperlayers of skin. The salcura is
no different to an antifungal but it is in a brine soluction which is
suposed to by osmosis travel into deep layers of the skin. That is why
it goes deeper to stop the reaction of skin shedding. james

Has anyone had any luck with the product Eczana by Neulife?

pimping

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

You say i’m pimping it…only one person has ever tried it on this
site and they seemed to only use it for a couple of days. The company
dosen’t need me to help it. Actually I might of said it before but for
all you long suffering bitter and cynical sufferers, to prove in a
cast iron way people are using it and having very very positive
results go to ebay where i first bought it and read about 20 pages of
feedback which you can’t fake and thats a fact. Hopefully this will
get some of into the idea i’m not lying. It really works guys it has
turned my life around in the last 6 months. It just goes a step
furthur I think that anti-fungals going deeper into the skin layers.

Ps You should see my crib man.Damn yanks

Can anyone help me?

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

Hi! I’ve had SD for two years now. I use an ordinary Nivea cream, and
a prescription-made medicine containing zinc oxide, but it’s not
helpfull. My skin is not flaking, but it’s inflammed and oily. I
haven’t used any topical steroids, and don’t have much experience with
medications. I would be very grateful if anyone can recommend me a
good therapy for treating this condition, the therapy which is shown
as effective from his/her own experience.
Sorry if my english is bad, I’m living in Spain.

Question about red spots

Sunday, February 19th, 2006

Hi,
Although the combination of vitamin b5 and boswellia is still working
very well for me (much less oil and overall redness), I’ve started
getting some small red spots and flaking around the sides of my nose.
I’ve been using desowen ointment on them and it works well, but I would
rather not use a steroid. Any tips for non-steroid treatments for these
spots?
Thanks,
Tim

Hi Daughter has SD

Friday, February 17th, 2006

Hi, this is my first post here, my daughter showed me her scalp today
and she has SD - I know because I have suffered for over 20 years with
it myself. I use Ketoconazole shampoo and it works well; but on
research on the net it says there is no data on it’s use on under 12’s
and so should only be used under doctors supervision.

The problem is that we live in spain and communicating with doctors
can be very tricky, and 9 times out of 10 they are just not interested
because we are not spanish!

Has anyone used this safely on their children? She only has a few bad
patches and i feel sure it would help her very quickly. It is
definately SD as it is on her hairline as well as on the top of her
scalp.

IPL TREATMENTS?

Wednesday, February 15th, 2006

Hi

I am new to the group and would like to know if anyone has had any luck
with Intense Pulse Light treatments. I am scheduled to have a series
of 3, at 2-3 weeks apart, on Sep 16th for a big price tag of $1200.00
and besides it being pricey I am very nervous about it so if anyone has
pros or cons on it I would be interested. Thanks, Robert.
