Accutane Question for all you users!

Monday, September 12th, 2005

hey everyone!

I was wondering if it is normal to get flareups while being on
Accutane. Before I started taking Accutane I didn’t have many
flareups and didn’t while taking Accutane (well maybe the occasional
one or so). I’ve been taking it for 3 months and one week and just
recently I have gotten more flareups on my chin. Is this normal?
Even if I have been on a low dose (10mg twice a week)? I just wonder
why it would happen now! Should it go away with time? What happens
once I’m off accutane? Are the side effects still persistent? Sorry
for all the questions.

Thanks

Sonia

Apple Cider Vinegar info question

Sunday, September 11th, 2005

I’m curious about how to use this but I was not allowed to join the
ACV group. No reason given. I shared my history, diet, medications
used, like it asked. Is there a way to find out the info from this
site? They mention diet, ACV, if you use steriod cream info, etc. Is
there a way that someone could share all this info with me? I
noticed people talking about it here. I’d appreciate the info.
Thanks, Jim

Pimecrolimus cream 1% can be an effective treatment for seborrheic
dermatitis of the face and trunk.

The ascomycin macrolactam derivative pimecrolimus is a novel,
nonsteroidal, cell-selective inhibitor of inflammatory cytokines
specifically developed for the treatment of inflammatory skin
diseases. Our objective was to assess the efficacy, tolerability and
safety of pimecrolimus cream 1% in the treatment of seborrheic
dermatitis. Adults with seborrheic dermatitis of the face and upper
trunk who were seen from October 2003 to April 2004 at the
Dermatologic Outpatient Clinic of the University of Thrace were
enrolled in this 9-week open-label uncontrolled study. Pimecrolimus
cream 1% was applied as monotherapy twice daily for 7 days and for
an additional period of 7 days thereafter, if needed, until complete
clearance was achieved. In cases of recurrence a 5-day course was

buying salcura

I’m based in the UK so I don’t know for sure the best way to buy. I
bought mine on ebay so you can do it that way. I got mine from the UK
where I think the company is based. You should have no real problems
buying it. Anyway really you should run a search on Google and just
look what’s on the web "Salcura" the company has a few sites I think.
No offense but they will say stuff about the product better than I
can. Though simply it’s a natural product in a spray pump which
consists of oils (not oily) and many other ingredients in a collodial
soluction (brine) which the makers say is unique that it works by
osmosis deep into layers of skin.It is anti-bacterial and antifungal.
It’s really no miracle drug it just combines the things we know is
good for sebderm such as tea tree oil etc and delivers it in a way
the skin can absorb it. My theory is standard view that this
condition is fungal(yeasts) due to oilyness of our skin. Antifungal
creams are good but there are layers that aren’t touched which

halleujah,

Someone willing to try Salcura. Basically to your questions I don’t
know for sure if it will affect you the same way as me. I only have
sebderm though once a derm did say I had acne rocacea and put me on
antibiotics. However I don’t have roceacea, I’m pretty sure I just
have seb derm. The stuff however is not exclusive to this condition
but more a blend of many oils and natural herbs etc in a colloidial
soluction designed to allow the skin to heal. It’s completely mild,
the stuff worked from day one, but am finding in my progress "so far"
has been prolonged but no flakes so I know mt skin is builing up.
Anyway cool that your trying it hope it works on your combination of
conditions as well as mine. Look forward to feedback, keep us posted.

My Results!

Monday, September 5th, 2005

I have not much time at the moment to post. However, to keep
everyone updated (for those that are interested) my SD is gone!
Completely, absolutely gone! My face is literally like silk people
and my scalp is clear too. Honestly, I keep thinking it’s got to
come back as I’ve had this disorder for years, but nope, nothing.
Going into the end for the third week since i started the ACVWM
program and it’s gone.

In addition to the ACVWM plan, I’ve been on a highly vegetarian
cleansing type diet, I’m taking three packets of Threelac and
exercising daily too. I’ve lost about 12 pounds as a bonus.

I cannot say for certain if the ACV plan would fit for everyone,
it’s tough when you first start the program. It gets easier when you
really see the results. I think the biggest problem with most who

immune system

Friday, September 2nd, 2005

interesting concept on the immune system topic. i had my spleen removed at age
7(playgroud accident). the doctors told me that a person has a complete immune
system at about age 9/10. my doctor at the time and through childhood put me on
an antibiotic twice a day, stopped taking that in my mid twenties, 37 now. i
have a heart defect as well, the other reason for the antibiotic. i wonder if it
is my immune system or the antibiotics that could have cause my skin problems? i
always thought all those antibiotics threw my system out of wack.

No cure? You sound like my doctor!

cure ( n )
1. Restoration of health; recovery from disease.
2. A method or course of medical treatment used to restore health.
3. An agent, such as a drug, that restores health; a remedy.
4. Something that corrects or relieves a harmful or disturbing
situation:

Let’s consider the definition, "Something that corrects or relieves a
harmful or disturbing situation"..
For James that "something" is Salcura
For andmag that "something" is protopic
For me that "something" is vinegar

By allowing yourself to believe there is ‘no cure’, your put you mind
into an unhealty state to begin with. All healing begins within,
