New Here

Hey, whats up everyone. I had sd for about a year now. I tried
everything and found out that the sun works the best for me. It
clears my forehead up right away. I think sd follows along the same
line as psoriasis in the skin shedding part anyway. Many people with
psoriasis find that it clears in the summer because of the sun. I
heard the sun inhibits cell proliferation. Cya

plea for feedback

Tuesday, September 20th, 2005

hi forum,

Please could anyone who is in the process of trying Salcura give
feedback to encourage the group. At least three people have said they
have purchased it. Even if you never post anything it would be great
to hear feedback. At the moment I am growing in my belief in this
product. I have probably 95% clearance on my face. I haven’t tried
coming off the stuff and see no need at moment to. The results have
been at first dramatic and followed by quite steady progress over a
bout 1 1/2 months. So please post even if you never do but have been
trying it. James

Azoline: More from Dr. Nase

Great question Tim. Fungi rarely become resistant to oral
antifungals, but they certainly do come back in moderate to severe
cases. One of the keys to combating seb derm successfully is
knocking the yeast count down to near zero (although normal healthy
skin always has millions of organisms including yeast). The problem
with topicals and first generation oral antifungals is that they
only knock the abnormal count down by 35% to 50%. Now this results
in very good clearance of seb derm, but the patients’ yeast count is
still off the chart from months/years of overgrowth. Now, if you
knock it down to normal levels (90% to 100% total clearance) then it
is MUCH easier to maintain remission because they need a long time
to take hold, build their environment again and replicate. So, it
is a matter of percent clearance of the number of yeast in the pores
and not the superficial clearance of the disorder. That is why the
Azoline holds great promise for long term remission or very easy

How long have you had Seborreic Dermatitis for ?

How old are you?

quite interesting. Might be something we could make more use of.

Hi Jennifer,
I’ve tried everything alternative and medical and the best thing by
far is the Salcura and it’s harmless and natural.(there are a few
sellers on ebay) The reason I replied is it was me who first talked
about threelac on this forum. The fact you had flu symptoms may
possibly due to a candida die off. Classic symptoms are flu like
symptoms when this happens. Candidia is a proliferation of bad
bacteria in the intestine which has been linked to seb derm by some
medical reports. Maybe you should look into it on the web. James

A site I recomend for many candida related stuff is ‘curezone’ a
great site dedicated to finding cures for conditions, unfortunately
seb derm is not well particularly covered.

Hi,
Thanks for the responses to my last post. The Loprox lotion and
shampoo has been working very well for me. Neither one has any sort
of odor and the lotion rubs in very well. The redness, oiliness and
tightness are all way down. I hope it lasts for a while. I haven’t
tried Ovace and Protopic together yet. The last time I tried
Protopic, it seemed to just make my skin feel hot and not reduce the
redness. I will try Ovace, though. Klaron didn’t work for me the last
time I tried it, but Ovace might.
I have been taking threelac - one packet every morning. I don’t know
if it’s helping or not, but I’m going to keep taking it for a while.
What do you guys think about this new antifungal, Azoline? Sounds
good to me, but how long before the fungus comes back or becomes
resistant? I guess the good news is that they are at least working on
new treatments.

Azoline: New Oral Antifungal in Trials

BARRIER REPORTS POSITIVE PHASE IIA DATA FOR RAMBAZOLE AND AZOLINE

Barrier Therapeutics has reported positive Phase IIa data for both
oral Rambazole in the treatment of psoriasis, and for oral Azoline in
the treatment of superficial fungal infections.

Rambazole is a novel retinoic acid metabolism-blocking agent. A
review of initial Phase IIa trial data from 10 patients with moderate-
to-severe psoriasis demonstrated a reduction in the PASI score (a
symptom severity score in psoriatic patients) by an average of 50
percent in patients treated with 1 mg once daily for eight
consecutive weeks. These PASI scores were measured at Week 10, two
weeks after stopping treatment.

There were no serious treatment-related adverse effects reported,

threelac updates

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

Hey, I was wondering how everyone who’s trying Threelac is doing. I
guess it’s been about a month since it was first mentioned on this
board, so it might be too soon. I’m temporarily off the ACV
treatment and I’m on oral steroids, but I wanted to take something
in the meantime.

yes it can be a bit smelly, but not unpleasant. I find the smell goes
after 20 mins, but with hair it may maintain smell for longer. I
haven’t tried it on my hair as I think though it is not oily would
put some grease onto the hair so will probably look into the
companies products for shampoo. I really recommend you try the stuff
on your face. Take a day off work if your worried about reaction, but
I have found it’s very mild. James
