It's so great that your condition is under control! Congrads! I
want to point out, however, that Protopic actually DOES work -- it
is the only thing that has worked for me. It made my skin literally
free of redness and flakes the entire time I used it.
Unfortunately, there's the whole cancer link. Also, the
ketoconazole cream worked wonders for me for a couple of months. I
bet that others could potentially have better luck w/ketoconazole,
though, since my condition is localized but severe.

Tony, I'm totally on board with the natural route. Even if a topical
is helping now, it will most likely make it worse in the future. By
the way Tony, are you still using Omega 3? I saw in previous posts
that you were.

But if you are still using Protopic then its only masking the problem not
solving it. But like ive said in previous posts, i would rub dog shit on my
face if it would get rid of it. Its an embarrasing condition, and would use
extreme measures to get rid of it didnt care the cost. Worse comes to worse
baloney always works to.

Tony, I can see where you're coming from and I'm really glad you've got
it under control, but I'm coming from the other side of the argument.

I have my sebderm under control by using Protopic that was prescribed to
me by a dermatologist who I was referred to by my doctor. I use it two
or three times a week and it keeps my skin looking & feeling normal. I
understand the risks and I'm comfortable with my choice.

I can drink alcohol, use teflon pots (and pans), I don't have problem
with aluminium, I quite often eat at McDonalds and my sebderm remains
under control.

What I'm getting at is that although it's a great idea to encourage
people to try what works for you, it's a bad idea to discourage them
from things that might work for them and may even be better suited to
<!--more-->
their lifestyle.

I dont visit this group very much since i have my seb derm under control,
and under control meaning completely gone!!! I only wish new members could
read the archives on what we have used in the past and worked. Completely
stay away from ointments and topicals its probably a 1% external factor and
99% internal factor. Absalutely dont trust dermatologists; they trully have
no say in your condition only what medical insurance companies dictate to
them. Stay away from contaminants, such as cigarettes, alchol, tephlon pots
and pans, aluminum, processed foods (even though its hard), Most likely you
have a food allergy. Seek a nutrionist!!!Most importantly be positive.
After reading the new posts i see we are continuously going into a cycle we
are now backto talking about fungicides, desodine, protopic and elidel.
they dont work, they only thin your skin and make it weak, only to see your
condition worsen and come back

Hey Kevin, I was wondering how your seb derm was doing and whether
you're still in remission. If you are, are you still taking
threelac? Still sticking to eating mostly vegetables? I was looking
for an update since I'm interested in the long term effects of these
things. Any help is greatly appreciated.
