To those of you who takes a low dose Accutane

I’ve had my three v-beam treatments and as I’ve mentioned before I’d
get an oppurtunity to test the result, working outside during the
night in the cold. And belive it or not but I just got a bit "normal"
red, those horrible red attacks I used to get are gone, gone, gone!
It wasn’t all that cold, only -1 C, we’ll see what happens when it’s -
10 C or worse, but it really seems to have got a whole lot better! I
do have one little thing left that can’t seem to be done something
about - extremely sensitive skin. If I so much as put my finger to
scratch my nose or somewhere in the face below the eyes, I get a bit
red almost instantly. Which is very irritating when you’re fooling
around with your girlfriend and always have to look in the mirror
afterwards!!! :o)

Anyway, those of you who take a low dose Accutane - exactly how much
do you take? I have 20 mg pills which I thought I’d take twice a day

for maybe three days a week.

    Hi,
I took 10 mg 3 times pr week. I think this, or maybe 10 mg every
other day is the best dosage. 20 mg would maybe be too much, as 10
mg had some side effects like slight back ache.
I feel that with accutane the smallest dose that works will have to
    be the correct one.
I was on this from june 2004 til around christmas, but I went off it
because I am in Rio at the moment, and didnt want to have the sun
sensibility issue. I am noticing that I am getting a few acne again
now, so there is not a permanent effect of the accutane in that
    respect.

I also took Elidel, which is a good lotion, but there are side effect
like congested nose and nausea (even more annoying than the accutane
side effects) , so at the moment I am just using the Cutanix DRL.

    best wishes,
    Mads

    Hi group-

I went to the derm last week and she prescribed the fluocinoclone drops.
Just curious if anyone has tried these before. My scalp is always red,
especially after a shower which makes the rest of my face red. And by the
end of the day i have the greast scales on my hairline and eyebrows.. trying
to get rid of this!! I’d welcome any suggestions.

    Thanks!
