Thank you for your post. This is a relatively new treatment. I
have been following the success of some patients who have been
treated in Arizona.
Dr. Adrian is a real pro. I would follow almost any protocol he
would suggest. Nick, may I confirm that it was short contact
therapy (Levulan applied for 15 to 30 minutes) and then treatment
with blue light (not IPL).
This is one treatment that has the real potential to treat sebaceous
gland hyperplasia, follicular hyperkeratinization (little keratin
plugs sticking out of pores) and the lumpy bumpy texture. Nick, did
you have follicular hyperkeratinization (if you were to squeeze the
nose, sebum would come out) and is this what was helped when
referring to overactive sebaceous glands?
