Hi,
I do think laser therapy is good. I have never tried it. I did make a
phone call to a clinic here in Norway, but they said they dont treat
seborrheic dermatitis with laser, they use a laser called N-Lite.
Im not sure why they said this, I guess it might have been because
they dont know much about it.

Anyways, I think accutane low dose is pretty safe, my derm says that
he has treated lots of people with accutane, and very rarely seen any
problems. As for low dose, he said the dangers were small.

I sure think it more harmful to have the heartbrake of seb derm and
acne than to take 10 mg accutane 3 times a week. My skin is already
less oily after 3 days. (I am taking 10 mg every day for a few days
to kickstart it).
<!--more-->

Losing 25 % of your hair and feeling very miserable after just 5
weeks on 20 mg 3 times a week sounds very strange. I personally
think smoking is more dangerous.

best wishes,

I hope low dose accutane works out for you...I tried low dose
a couple years ago.. 10mg 3x a week...while on the drug my
skin cleared up nicely and oil reduction was very good...but
after 4 or 5 months i started to get some hair shedding and
also i noticed a reduction in my libido...i stopped the drug
after 6 months....hair shedding stopped..,libido returned...
but also did my oily skin and break outs...its my belief
that LOW dose accutane does nothing permanent to the oil glands.
once you stop the drug, the oil glands start up again. in
other words you have to stay on the drug to get the benefits.
For myself i'm looking into lasers to control oil..
smooth beam laser is one.
levulan kerastick blue light therapy is another.

Hi Mads-

I wish you luck! I just stopped my low dose treatment. I was only on it for
a5 weeks... 20 mg every other day and I was miserable. I know they say it
gets worse before it gets better, but my face was constantly red, the sebum
was out of control and I lost about 25% of my head hair!

So if you have already have had a course on it, I am sure you will be fine.
Others who are thinking of taking it, just be aware of the side effects!
Maybe 20mg is too high and 10 would have been better...

Take care,
Amanda
