Sodium sulfacetamide wash has made me a happy guy again

Hi. I’ve never posted here before, but I’ve poked around a bit and
wanted to share my experience. For the last 10 years or so, my face
has been blotchy and flaky. Not always, but rarely has a week gone by
where I don’t have a patch or patches on my face. I’ve tried it all:
topical steroids (like Desowen), Elidel, Protopic, Nizoral cream, etc
etc. It was really frustrating!! I’m in sales and call on doctor’s
offices all day, so that made it even more uncomfortable. I read
somewhere about OVACE, a wash used up to 2X day. I asked my derm
about it. She knows I’m allergic to sulfa drugs so suggested I apply
some sample OVACE foam to the inside of my wrist for a few days - if
I didn’t break out, I might then try the sodium sulfacetamide wash.
Within days, my skin looked brand new and even after 2 months, I’m
doing great (keeping fingers crossed for the future). I apply this
stuff once a day after I wash my face, and then moisturize with
Cetaphil facial moisturizer. OVACE is the brand name, but the wash

(which comes in a foam as well as a thick liquid, which is what I
use) is GENERIC now, so the cost is very low. Not sure if this will
work for anyone else, but it’s worth trying, especially since there’s
no side effects. Woo hoo!

Cheers,
