Is it just me
or does anyone else think that the guy who runs the other Seb Derm
group is a total imbacilic jackass?

It is NOT just you–that guy reminds of cult leaders that don’t let anyone
share their own thoughts unless it matches his. I got tired of him editing
my posts just because I was not following his brother’s ridiculous regimen
to the t.
Other than that, he is just a complete condescending moron with obviously no
life.

Well said!! That’s exactly why I left. He’s like a mini-dictator.. and
don’t you love his spelling and grammatical mistakes?
Pity, because there are lots of good people in that other group.

I agree 100%. I had problems with this guy even before he started his
own group. He came in this room first and posted the same message
about his brothers regimen 30 times in a row. I asked him what the
point was and he snapped at me. It made me laugh. Then I signed up
for his new group under a diferent name and he kicked me out after
one week because I guess I failed to post a message soon enough. All
he is doing is taking credit for an old remedy that goes back 100s of
years, and somehow feels like God in the process. Thank you for
posting guys, because now I know I am not the only one who thinks
this guy is a douchebag. Later.

What remedy does he propose?

Treating Seb Derm with Apple Cider Vinegar. That’s actually good
advice, but the way he runs his group reminds me a lot of Saddam Hussein.

Personally, I don’t even think his brother exists.. All these
messages, and all this time, and not only his brother hasn’t posted a
thing, but he hasn’t even mentioned his name.. It’s probably "the
voices" or something like that.

Many people have had issues with him. I joined the group just hoping
that it would offer another outlet for people to share ideas on seb
derm. I never understood his reasons for kicking out people who
didn’t share their story or post. What would be the reason for
that? I understand wanting some participation, but there were plenty
of people willing to post. If someone is helped even if they don’t
post, what is the wrong in that? Besides, maybe those people would
eventually feel comfortable to post…or maybe they may find a
solution to seb derm.
A few times he had deleted some posts of mine because they were off
topic to ACV, yet were about seb derm. Yet he posted off topic ideas
all the time. The group would be great without the gestapo tactics.
I’m not sure what the motivation is behind all that. Oh well. It’s
his group. I guess I can’t complain. I just think it would be a much
better group if it was open to new ideas or ideas in conjunction with
ACV. Having said all that, I’ve found ACV to help for short periods
of time, but it tended to cause me other problems too. Pretty much
like everything else out there. It may work for his brother and
others, but in the end I felt it was causing me more problems than it
was helping.

I have heard from several people who have tried the
ACV that it has absolutely no effect on their sebderm.
Are there people having good results with this?
For those curious about the long-term efficacy of
Protopic, here’s an update. I have very severe
sebderm on my face. I’ve been using Protopic for
several months now. For the first month or so I had
COMPLETE clearance of all sebderm flaking, redness,
etc. My skin was (no exaggeration here) perfect.
Wow, what a carefree vacation from the affliction that
was!
Sadly, its effectiveness has been gradually declining
since that time, though it still definitely helps. If
I stop using it for even a day, I get a little flare.
On day 2 without Protopic, it’s back full force. As
long as I continue to use it every night, I am able to
do some minor deflaking every morning and stay clear
all day. I don’t experience much, if any, redness
while on the Protopic. No one would ever suspect I
have any kind of skin problem. In my experience, it’s
the most valuable weapon in the arsenal I’ve found,
but alas, no cure.

How can one get Protopic..? Is it prescription only?
I’ve never been able to convince a doctor to give me anything other
than what he thought of first….

My doc didn’t suggest it either, actually. I brought
it up, and he actually gave me 5 tiny sample tubes. I
haven’t yet had to even actually buy it!

Anyway, I posted my problems. Shortly thereafter I received a
response which said trash everything I was doing and follow the
vinegar, diet and shower regimines. I’m open to new ideas and will
probably try the regimines. However, having a scientific
background, I asked for an explanation/rationale. Even if not
supported by analysis and data, at least I’d like to know why
someone thinks it works before I stop eating my favorite foods or
turn my head into a pickle…
Well the next day I’m suddenly no longer a member of the group
I
assume it is because I ‘questioned’ the regimine. You hit the nail
on the head… Is this guy a cult leader? Do I have to drink the
coolaid?

hey all.
I’ve been going through some older messages to look for some
experience and success of protopic… very encouraging…..sortof.
It definetly makes me itch.. just put it on tonight but it says it
will for a few days. Fingers crossed this works.
I noticed people have posted some messages about the ACV group. I
joined that the start of January and the guy booted me off the group
after 1 weeks cos i ate some stuff not on his diet list. I find it
quite funny reading some of the messages about it. I thought it
was ‘just me’ not having the will power but i reckon he’s a bit of a
nutjob now. He runs it more like a cult than a group. Thats my
digs in anyway. I found it didnt make any difference apart from
making my nose even more red (thought not possible) and making my
hair the healthiest it has ever been, did it good.

I think there was some itching initially for me on protopic as well.
That should pass.
The ACV guy is a nut job. That’s crazy you only lasted a week. LOL.
I’d be curious to see how many people are still in the group. I’m
really not sure what this guy’s motive is.
