LCD treatment

Hi,

Im new of this group; i suffer from chronic SD from
5~7 years now. My derm tells me my SD comes with acne,
despite i dont suffer from the usual pimple acne; from
time to time i got fairly big pustules that will have
to be drained or topicly treated with stuff like
Bactroban

For now, he put me on a LCD (liquor carbonis
detergens) treatment at 20% percent on a cream base.
With an initial treatment of topic Advantan
(corticosteroid), tetralysal (antibiotic), with the
hope to rely on a stable treatment upon LCD and
pyrithione zinc shampoos like Node DS.

The treatment was doing really good for the first
bottle of LCD. However i then bought another bottle on
other pharmacy and apparently it hasnt the same
effect: it has the same nafta-like smell, however it
gave me a flare-up instead of avoiding it. According
to some pharmacists, apparently the difference lies in
the base of the product and the allergenic content.
But the pharmacy where i bought the first bootle wont
disclose the exact content of the coktail.

Anyone has particular information about this topic?

cheers!

I just got across your posting and yes i used Tetralysal (6 packs),
advantan/quadriderm and bactroban for the big pimples… Not too
impressive i may say but the weather helped me alot as i moved to
    Kuwait.

i have many thoughts to share with u,, meanwhile tell me how’s it
going with u? did the big pimples stop appearing? coz this is my
    basic concern right now
