Burt’s Bees Buttermilk Lotion
I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m having no signs of SD
since i started using this lotion about 10 days ago. I wanted to give
everyone a head start on my progress before I hopefully give a 100%
recommendation later next week. I want to be sure that I continue the
success. I haven’t had to use either Locoid or Ketoconazole since and
I usually had to use it once every 3 or 4 days. I just use it on my
face. My skin looks and feels great, no scaling, flakes, itching or
redness. I will give a complete progress next week but until then
here is some info:
Burt’s Bees Buttermilk Lotion, enriched with healthy, safe
ingredients like vitamin A and aloe vera. This buttermilk lotion
contains no chemical additives.
Ingredients:

stearic acid (vegetable fat), beeswax, orange wax, tocopheryl acetate

Has anyone used this product before? I read somewhere on the internet
that a woman claimed it cured her baby’s enzema. There are two
reviews of this product on www.epinions.com

Andrew,
How bad was your seb derm before you started using this–was it like really
bad and/or getting worse or was the sd getting better/ and or mild. Reason
I ask is that oftentimes this disease can get better or worse for no reason
at all, just the normal waxing and waning.
I don’t see anything bad in the ingredients so I think I will give this a
try as well.
Where exactly on your face have you been using it?
Thanks,
RJ

RJ,
I’ve had a mild case of SD for about 3 yrs now which hasn’t gotten
any better or worse since then. Only areas of my face are affected
and include the skin folds in between my eyes, lower forhead just
above the nose, the fold between my cheek and nose, the two folds
either sides of my nostrols and the behind the ear at the skin fold.
I get a scaling or scab looking build up along with some redness and
iritation in and around the affected areas mentioned above. If you
are going to try the lotion, make sure you get burts bees baby
buttermilk lotion, not to be confused with another lotion they make
called milk & honey lotion. Both come in similar size bottles and are
about $8 to $9. I know they are sold at some supermarkets and health
food stores and in particular, the vitamin shoppe & trader joes. Both
the vitamin shoppe and trader joes have a money back policy of you
aren’t satified. So far my skin continues to look great and although
I can’t say I’m cured, I can say that its so hard to tell that I have
any signs of SD. I’ll give another update the end of next week so
I’ll have about 18 straight days of use to give feed back on.

Thanks for the info Andrew–this sounds kinda like my areas of concerns as
well–I get the same scaling and scabbing from time to time and lots of
redness adn intesne falking, even where my skin is not red
I wonder what it is in this stuff that is helping, the aloe maybe or the
vitamin a? well if it works, who cares how
I have a Vitamin shoppe in my town I can get it at–let you know how it goes

right now I’m using it twice a day, once in the morning and once in
the evening however I’m sure you could even use it 3 times a day if
you need to.
