Its Back…
Well, my nightmare has come true, just in time for Halloween. After
almost a year without a sebderm breakout, it has all came back, and I
cant figure out what it is from. My only conclusion is the colder
fall weather moving into this Michigan climate. Has anyone else
experienced a fall breakout? Im curious since I am new to this
condition. Thanks all…

Yo ben what were you doing to keep it down for at least a year!! thats good
work bro, and to get a breakout once a year sounds good to me. whats your
secret

Tony-I dont really have a secret to it man, I just stopped using
products. I threw out all of my moisturizers, face washes, harsh
shampoos, hair gels, ect. and just washed my face once a day with
plain water and washed my hair once a day with all natural shampoo. I
started this around Christmas time so I guess it hasent really been a
whole year, but its been long enough where I forgot how it looks when
I do have a breakout. My skin wasent perfect though. I still had the
dryness and flakes, but no redness at all, which was 20 times better
than how it was. But recently (the past week) it has slowly creeped
back. I was pissed to say the least, but this time I told myself not
to let it get to me. Like I said, it was just in time for Halloween.
At least I will stop thinking about it after about 12 beers tonight,
but will come back to me tomorrow morning. I just hope it was a fluke
and will go away, we will see.
Anywho, how have things been with you bro?

Whats the climate like in Nebraska? I have never been there. I too
would like to migrate south. My plan is to move to Arizona next year
with some friends after I am done with school. Although I did hear
the summer heat is not good for people with sebderm. I was down there
for spring break last March and didnt have any problems.

Yeah I have read about the Dead Sea and have heard great things about
it. Wouldnt a trip like that get expensive?

Thats not as bad as I thought. Still too rich for a poor college
student. I guess I would pay anything if it worked…

Hey Ben
I too try to stay away as much as possible from harsh chemicals, shampoos,
and creams. By all means I completely stay away from steroids, and other
dermatologist creams. Right now i was my face with some natural pine tar
soap and scalp with tea tree, or kuene shampoo products. As i mentioned in
the past im about at a 10% flare with moderate redness, in the past i have
been to a 90% flare and redness. So thank God its somewhere at a point
that i can live with. The scalp has been troublesome the most, I just
started to boil fresh rosemary and apply the water to my scalp. Second day
and flakes decreased already. But as always my body will get used to it and
come back. Anyways all, hang and bang

Tony-Thats good to hear man. Glad your doing so good. I just wish I
could take care of my flakes. Its not bad once I shower, but it looks
like a snow covered field in the morning when I get up. As long as
the redness goes away I will be happy. I used some cortisone last
night before I went to bed and most of it went away. I know im not
supposed to use it but I wont make a habit of it. Hope it dosent come
back.

I have a water softener, so that might not be the problem. Im
thinking about washing with natural spring water you get in the
gallon jugs to see what that does…
