Writing here to ease my depression and to share experience. Thank y

Hi guys,

It is always nice to come in here to be among friends who are in the
same boat…the understanding and suppport is so very important to
me. Even our best friend will not understand what we are going
thru. I dont know about your guys but my entire social life depends
heavily on how my facial skin ‘behaves’ that day. I was supposed to
attend an important function 2 days ago…imagine getting a nice
gown, bag, shoes ready AND the entire face went on a breakout frenzy
complete with redness and unbearable itchiness. I am so depressed
over this. I hv been on protopic for over a month now and it was
generally quite good but I noticed an increase of whiteheads
(supposedly blocked comedones caused by the ointment. I just got a
tube of elidel and will start using it tonight. I must say the
protopic works well on my nose area…the black heads has lessen

considerably and so has the pustules. I strongly believes, diet and
heat has something to do with this. Sometimes, I wake up to perfect
skin and by noon, the redness will return.

I hv been on doxycycline and it didnt work for me…in fact it got
much much worse. The pustules and papules that were not there before
appeared to fill up the entire face. I had to put on some strong
steroids to control that and of course in the process leaves some
erythema.

Anyone here using sunblock? I dont seem to be able to tolerate that
too, in fact it does not seem to tolerate anything..no moisturizer,
sunblock or powder. I would love to hear from those of you who hv
used any
facial products with some measure of success. I would like to
eventually find something suitable for my skin. All those over the
counter type like CD(highly intolerant), Estee Lauder, clinique,
lancome and the likes are no no to me. I also manage to get some
samples from Avene. Havent tried it yet but will do so when my skin
calms down. Anyone used this product before?

  1. Neva Marjory Says:

Avene skin recovery cream (60+% spring water?).. If so yes. It
controlled my girlfriends facial excema and isnt greasy at all.
