So it stops working after a while, just like
everything else? I had hoped it would continue to be
effective. My doc said it works like a steroid
without the side effects.

I used it last night for the first time, and I can
definitely see what everyone means about the grease.
It's just like Vaseline. The weirdest thing happened,
though. It didn't sting or anything, but after about
an hour, my face started totally itching. I looked in
the mirror and realized the reason why -- I looked
like a molting iguana! My skin totally flaked out! I
washed off the Protopic after about 3-4 hours,
thinking that I should ease into this. With all of
the ointment gone, the flakes were really apparent. I
<!--more-->
was a little nervous, but just went to bed hoping for
the best. This morning, all of the flakes just kind
of rubbed right off. My skin is WAY better! It is a
bit red, though, but not painful red. It isn't sore
at all, just feels a little warm. I'm optimistic that
this could really help, and I'm planning to use it at
night only. I'll keep the list posted as to progress.
