Protopic (tacrolimus) works for me!!!!!!
Hi everyone,
A while ago I posted here to say that I am trying out a new
ointment. After using it for a month or so I am very glad to say
that it works well for me. I used to have lots of sebum and black
head on my nose AND most of the pores will have a little disgusting
pimple. Now, most are cleared except for a few at the side of my
nose and the blackheads are no longer there. Pls pray for me that I
have finally found something that seem to work.
The ointment I am using is Protopic Ointment (tacrolimus) 0.1% and
this
particular tube was brought back from Japan and a week ago, a friend
from Taiwan found it in Taipei as well. I am not able to get it from
my home country as it has not been registered with our Ministry of
Health yet as I was told by my derm that this is the latest product
for our skin condition and it does not contain steroid. Please check
with your derm in your country and give it a try. I paid an
equivalent of USD 15 for a 10g tube. I believe this will last me a
couple of months as I apply a very thin layer only and now that the
problematic stuff has kind of gone off, I am using it only very
sparingly. It is an ointment and it feels oily BUT IT WORKS…so far
so good!!!!

after using this product. I really
want to hear some good news and hope it works for you as well as it
had for me. My biggest concern then was my nose….it is really not
very nice to have a ‘pimply black-dotted plus red nose’ Now it looks
pretty good but not perfect. I have accepted the fact that my skin
will never regressed to what it was before and I am very happy to see
improvement as it is now. Good luck to all of you.
