accutane treatment

Hello

Can anyone give me some advice on Accutane treatment. Dermatologist
prescribed me Accutane, but when I read the brochure I was getting
pretty scared of all the side effects. He also gave me some cream. I
want to know what is the right dosage for low usage of Accutane,
because i have only seborrheic dermatitis, not the acne. Are there
any dangers with that type of treatment.

Thank you

I’ve had two courses before, but that was for cystic acne. I think
the first course was at the full strength everyday for whatever
number of months it is (something like 4-6 months). I had a relapse
a few years later that wasn’t so much cystic and I think I was
prescribed the low dose for 3-4 months everyday.

Except for the very dry skin during usage I don’t know of any other
effects it has had on me. My blood always tested just fine. It’s
certainly up to you on whether you want to use it. I think it was a
godsend in terms of my cystic acne. Whether it is as useful for sd,
I don’t know. I’ve heard of others using it for that, but don’t know
any success or failure, or whether they were even following the
doctor’s outline of its usage. Has your doctor prescribed it before
for sd? I’d be more inclined to follow the doctor’s advice in terms
of its usage than someone over the internet unless they were

    medically knowledgeable.
