Seborrheic Dermatitis

Hello, Just to let u all know that since I’ve been usin the honey
(about 2wks) there have not been any change. The condition has’nt
gotten worst either. So I guess I’ll continue to use it a bit longer,
see what happens. You know, for the longest while one of the things
I’ve noticed since I’ve had seb derm is that at mornings after
awaking, for about 30-45 minutes there is a significant improvement
on my skin, it’s like ‘wow’, but before I know it it’s back to square
one. Maybe my condition has something to do with stress. I don’t
know, cause I really don’t have a hectic schedule. By the way TONY,

Hi guys,

I was asked by my doctor recently whether, if I had the choice, I
would prefer to get rid of the appearance of my Seb Derm or the itch
and pain…I couldnt decide which, but in the end said that I
couldn’t state a preference, they were both as important as each
other…would be interested out of curiosity to hear your views!

is apparently a yeast that naturally grows in everyones
colons. sometimes though it begins to grow out of control and it
turns into a fungus. it then can damage your intestinal lining and
get into your blood stream, effecting all of the organs in your body.

why do i bring this up?

studies have shown that people infected with HIV and have seb derm,
have an unusually high amount of candida yeast in there stools. plus
the fact that babies who develop seb derm lack the intestinal flora
(the good bacteria) that is needed to destroy toxins such as candida
infections. the cure for babies with seb derm: biotin. the
eliminating factor of candida in its fungal form: biotin.

I appreciate your response. I was wondering too, if anyone here has
tried taking large amounts of B5. I think this is supposed to be
geared more towards acne but wondered if it would help/hurt seb derm.

last night i woke up with this thing i’ve been getting since halfway
through my senior year in high school. One day in January i got a
horrible and i mean horrible stomach pain. it felt like an ulcer,
like i ate a pack of batteries, and its cause was not apparent, only
thing i could think of was i didn’t eat breakfast that morning. it
then came back twice more exactly 3 and then 6 months later. it
disappeared for a while but last april i got a mild case again. last
night however was the worst of all…i threw up 10 times! everytime
i’ve gotten it, nothing helps curb the pain in my stomach, i simply
lie in the fetal position in bed until the pain subsides, usually 6
hours later!

after consulting with the doctor about me developing a seasonal sinus
infection right after i moved downstairs and eventually the
debilatating stomach pains, he concluded that i am allergic to mold

How does one determine(outside of going to a dermetologist)if their
particular skin lesions are symptoms of acne, sebderm or rosacea or a
combo of all 3?
I have been reading so much about all 3 of these that now I am not
sure what the heck I have.
Dermetologist said, likely pre rosacea( I have not used steroid
creams all over my face) with some seb derm.
I have maybe 40-50 lil papules/pustules all over my face, most very
small, some skin colored some pink/red, gives my forehead a very
bumpy feeling.
When I cleanse my face in the am it feels like my face is more dry
and flakes, I can see flaking particularly where I shave, nasolabial
folds and nose and forehead. ( oh and earlobes too)
After a few hours my skin starts getting oily and by the end of the
day is quite/very oily.

so you can’t necessairly see mold growing on the walls in your house,
it’s mainly inside the walls then. i that case maybe i should get a
plumber out here to take care of the water leak downstairs.

glad i mentioned it.

i forgot to ask you what your symptoms were??? did you have
dandruff and flaky skin or oily, red skin? i have a strange case of
seb derm i think…i have other symptoms besides just red, oily
skin. my hands and feet easily get cold, i can’t concentrate, i am
usually fatigued, some nights i have insomnia (bad sometimes) i
sweat a lot when the temperature is completely normal, etc. etc.
maybe this is related to mold or dust mites but i don’t have any
asthma like symptoms like coughing and sneezing, so maybe not.

i’m not sure if there is any mold in my basement, can you see it if
it’s in between walls?? like a dark impression or something? we
might of just had termites or something before(it was when i was a
kid), but we definately have water leaks down here.

well, its been a long and stressful day. The results are in. The
bio-environmental expert agreed that my house does have extensive
mold problems. My bedroom closet and underneath the bedroom carpet
had a mold called Aspergillis and Black Stachybotrys was found in
other areas of the house. We found mold in the attic, under the
kitchen sink, inside the walls ….. all over! He even started to
get sick when he was in my bedroom …

He agreed that my poor health and recent seb derm are most likely a
direct result of the mold and advised me to find temporary housing
until the house can get repaired. Ive reported the findings to my
landlord and I plan to vacate the house asap. I will be moving into
a hotel temporarily until I can find a new home. I cant wait for
this nightmare to be over.
