Subject: new member - my experience with acvwm

I have rosacea, sebderm, and overly oily skin with some acne (yes, I
have it
all!) I have tried most of the topicals that have been discussed here
and on
the rosacea lists. A week ago I bought some Bragg’s at my local
health food
store. I started patting some on at night, on my trouble spots

(eyebrows,
temples, and my rosacea "hot spots" which are the areas beneath my
eyes where I
always have welt-like papules). I continued to use a little Nizoral
at night
as
well. Things started looking better almost immediately. I got a
little
overzealous one night and patted the acv all over my face, which
immediately
got
pretty red but was fine by the next morning. Better than fine,
actually. This
stuff seems to be working very nicely for me. I will continue to use
it.
Thanks to the group for all the info. Roni

Subject: continued success with acv

Hi all - sorry I have not posted in a few days. I want to respond to
some of the questions my post generated. Firstly, I am a woman, not
a man - it’s okay, people always think Roni is a guy’s name. Okay,
my history: no, my rosacea was not brought on by the use of steroid
creams. I have had oily skin and acne all my life. Now I am in my
40s. A few years ago I went through a period of very intense
stress. My face started looking red all the time and then it just
went crazy. Papules, rashes, flaking, you name it. I went to a very
well-respected derm in New York City and he mentioned sebderm. I had
never heard of it before. By the way, he prescribed desowen, which I
did not use! I used Aveeno oatmeal soaks, and Linda Sy’s Vita Oil.
I later used Plexion cleanser (which I still use in the morning) and
Sulfacet. I have been to many different derms in New York. Not one
seemed to know too much about this condition. I am continuing to use
Bragg’s. I apply it to a damp face, and let it air dry. Thanks
again to everyone for their comments and thoughts. Roni

Subject: three week ACV report: still working!

Hi guys - I have continued to use the ACV on my face (at night) and I
still have not had a red spot (papule, welt, rash, whatever you want
to call it) under my eyes (I used to get them there regularly) and I
still have no flaking on my forehead. Needless to say, I am very
pleased. My diet is pretty healthy: I try to limit refined foods,
minimal carbs, lots of salmon and green stuff. I am growing my own
blueberries (they are almost ready!) My one vice is coffee. I just
find this kind of diet healthier in general. My skin is still
ridiculously oily, I just don’t know what I can do about that. I
believe my skin problems are due to hormones and stress.

Good luck
