My Experience with ACV

Hello…

Just thought I would post something i have tried in the last few days..
I have seb derm and rosacea..(mostly some constant redness and some
bumpyness at times) Any way i had been reading posts about Apple cider
Vinegar with mother (Braggs) for seb derm and decided to give it a
try. I have been putting it on my scalp and around my ears and on some
patches on my face.. (for 4 days now) There is no doubt that it is
working.. my worst patches around my ears are completely gone right
now. I also (with much trepidation) decided to put it on a patch of
rosacea on my cheek. it has not made it go away ..but it has
improved. Perhaps more importantly (and frankly this shocked me due
to the acidity) it has not made it worse.

so i guess i am posting this for those of you with seb derm and

rosacea who have
heard of ACV but are worried about it affecting the rosacea .. it has
not worsened mine and it seems to be helping. It absolutely has
helped with the seb derm.

has anyone else tried this?

Hi Jo.; I have sd and steroid-induced rosacea and Ive been using the
acv w/ m on scalp and face 2x/day for about 3wks now, and drinking
4Tbsp daily, w/ amazing results too! The dry tight feeling I would
battle w/ moisturizers is gone, same w/ any flaking. Still some
pinkness and enlarged pores but they seem to be less noticeable.
Like you, I was afraid of how the rosacea areas would react, but
thats proved to be a non-issue.
But then I read Gayelle was having a problem w/ it. So I guess you
dont know till you try it. At least it is clearing her scalp!

    hey Angel!

I’ve tried drinking it … but find that very difficult. Are you
using anything else for the rosacea at the same time? and are you
using any moisturizers at all? I’ve shelved anything else till i see
the results of this. I’m positive it is helping the rosacea.. and the
SD is so much better.. Thank you for posting..

oh yeah how do you apply it to your scalp? I have long hair so i have
been trying with my finger tips…

Hi Joanne; Im not using anything at all but a pure vitamin E soap
from the healthfood store and filtered water (to wash 2X day). Its
been hot and humid so I have not been moisturizing (but the thing is,
before starting w/ acv, I would need moisturizer no matter how humid
the weather–this in itself is amazing).
If you want to try drinking some, this is how I started. (First of
all, DONT have any on your face while trying to drink–the smell will
gag you). Kinda hold your nose and put some on a teaspoon, and have
a cracker or something to eat immediately afterwards. The first few
tsps were tough, but by the second day I wasnt half-heaving after
every dose. Now, I take 3tsp at a time, one after the other, at 4
diff. times during the day, and dont need a cracker afterwards. I
actually kind of ENJOY it! I do drink a glass of water afterward tho
cuz I think it probly doesnt hurt to sort of "dilute" it in your
    stomach kwim?

I put my acv in a spray bottle (dont reuse your windex bottle tho,
get a brand new bottle lol) then part my hair into a bunch of
sections and spray. If you load it up enough, you will feel it
dripping all over your scalp, then massage–its pretty refreshing
    actually. Good luck :-) –Angel
