UPDATES
Hi,
The list has been a little slow lately. I hope that means that people
are doing well. Why don’t we all write in with an update on how we’re
doing?
If you’ve followed the list lately, you know that I’ve had a bit of a
relapse. Nothing seems to be working for me right now and my face has
become very red and oily. After trying DRL, Loprox, and a brief stint
back on Nizoral, I’ve decided to go back to Desowen to see if that
will give me some relief. In the past, the ointment has always been
more helpful to me than the lotion, so that’s what I’m going to try.
I hope to get a few months relief out of it so I can return to my
rotation of Head and Shoulders with selenium sulfide, Klaron and
Nizoral. As a last resort I am considering low-dose accutane as I’ve
heard mostly good things about it.
Anyway, that’s my update. What’s up with you?

I’m still battling it out — having my good days and

my bad. Today my skin was so bad on my cheeks that it
was bright red and horribly cracked. I didn’t even
know where to start, thinking that all of my usual
deflaking routines would never work on this mess
because it was so irritated. In desperation, I
slathered copious amounts of Carmex all over my entire
still-wet-from-the-shower face and left it on for
about an hour. When I washed it off, all of the
flakes rubbed off with a little pressure from the
towel! Happy day! I’ll have to try this trick on a
regular basis, and you might want to give it a shot
too! I washed with soap about 3 times to get the
Carmex off, then rubbed the flakes off — with no
pain! Now my skin will probably break out from the
Carmex

good idea tim.
i’m doing ok at the moment. the switch to nizoral cream was a good idea.
best give the steroids a miss. things are still a little red, but over all
my skin feels and looks better than it has for a long time.
not flaking very much at all at the moment.
am also still sticking to the diet. i think we all agree that this is a
major factor. will write more soon as well.
hope everyone is doing well!
regards,
james.

No i was fasting for orthodox easter, no meat , eggs, cheeses, milk
products, only veggies , rice and anything not related to animals. I was on
it for 6 weeks and also doing a liver cleanse and blood cleanse. My
dandruff decreased by 90% in the 1st two weeks, and my sebderm was extremely
tolerable. in 6 weeks had one break out, with a red patch on my forehead
the size of a dime, but i was really stressing that time to with work and
exams for school. Im now off the fast since last April, back to animal
products, my dandruff is back, flakes are back and redness on chest and
under armpits are back with slight redness on forehead and sideburns. Just
some info for all of you

Currently using the Apple Cider Vingerar, but not with mother. Without a
doubt the best thing I have ever used for my scalp–clears it up with in 48
hours and lasts for weeks.
It was working well on my face for a bout a month or so but seems to be
losing some of the effectiveness on my face. Still using Desowen as well,
but need to use it more now that the acv is not as powerful on face.
Also still taking about 300-400mgs of acidphilous daily–if i stop taking
it, the seb derm comes back strong.

hey baloney,
;O)
definitely seems to be a strong connection between diet and seb derm doesn’t
there…

I must have missed something…………….what diet are you talking about?

Products I’ve tried with partial success
Rosehip Oil (little too oily)
Nizoral (skin became too sensitive, though still use the face wash)
Aveeno = Colloidal Oatmeal orginating from Eygptian times I think
Doublebase (not bad)
Products I still Use
On the assumption that the skin reflects whats going on inside the
body I’m working on the assumption that SerbDerm (and indeed
Psorasis) may be caused by Candida:
Colloidal silver = Anti-fungal, bacterial.. Taken internally as
directed.
Grapeseed extract 3 * 100mg daily (to be taken throughout the day)
This has had dramatic effects on the Psorasis - Fantastic!!!
A good multi Vitamin (currently I’ve used Nutrapack, expensive but
good)
Additional Biotin
Topically I’m using:
Colloidal silver used with cotton pad.
Cutinax dramatic skin relief (visit the site and get free samples,
just pay PP). This cream is supposedly all singing all dancing but I
dont believe those sort of claims anymore! Only used this for a day.
Effects arent meant to be seen for a week to 14 days so will keep you
posted…
As a matter of interest does anyonr just suffer from SedDerm in the
corner of the eye Region
