should I be staying away from certain kinds of makeup?
My post was lost among the all the apple cider vinegar posts. So I’m
posting it again
Hi I’m new here and had a few questions. I’ve had SD for about 5
years. About a year and half ago I finally got it under control with
nizoral and hydrocortizone. I don’t know how it finally got under
control because I had tried everything under the sun for the 3 years
previous. I only have it on my face and only certain areas. I have
it between my eyebrows, the creases in my nose and from the bottom of
my lower lip down. I had a relapse about a month ago. I have no
idea why though. I can’t figure it out. From the bottom of the
lower lip down is very tight, very red and it can even be painful to
even smile. The rest of my face is slightly red. The weird thing
about the relapse is I have no flakes. I’ve never had the oiliness.
Anyway, I found this newsgroup and read about Dramatic Relief
lotions and decided to try it. I ordered the free samples for

You are supposed to put lotion on over the ACV after it dries right?
Here’s an article from Dermatology Times on a new rosacea treatment,
Finacea.
Topical azelaic acid 15 percent gel (Finacea) is more effective than
metronidazole gel 0.75 percent for improving erythema and reducing
inflammatory lesion counts in patients with mild to moderate
papulopustular facial rosacea, according to the results of a
multicenter, double-blind, randomized, parallel comparative trial.
The study enrolled 251 patients who were randomly allocated to twice-
daily treatment for 15 weeks with one of the two study medications.
By week 8, the two treatment groups had similar and statistically
significant reductions from baseline in erythema severity and numbers
of papules and pustules. However, as the study continued and patients
returned at weeks 12 and 15, it was noted that the effects of

I’m convinced that most if not all of my skin problems are caused by
diet, stress and sleep problems. I’m interested in learning some
effective techniques for stress management and dealing with
insomnia.
I’m considering bio-feedback and meditation. What do people
recommend in the area of stress management and insomnia treatments?
Thanks.

Hey all,
I’m new to the group but have been following messages for a while.
The problem i have is a bit of redness on the top of my head about 1
inch by 2 inches, no noticeable flaking but sometimes a little
iching. My hair is also a bit thin in this area. It grows back a good
amount but will shed all of a sudden. This has happened about 6
times. Two derms have told me it is not alopecia areata. One says
it’s a dermatitis, the other says it’s seb derm. Both gave me
steroids which i think made it worse. I don’t want to use steroids
and never will again unless i have to. I can control things with the
usual shampoos (nizarol, tsal) and have begun using tea tree oil
shampoo which i think may be very good for this. I’m also looking
into the whole diet thing seriously. I have a good diet but never
really worried about sugar until now. I’ve also been trying hard for
a couple of years to kick a nasty chewing tabbaco habit. I basicaly

How does weather effect seb derm?? I am moving from Wisconsin to
Houston, Tx pretty soon…….does heat make it better or worse?
What about humidity?
Hello folks,
I’ve been struggling with sebderm for many years, and been through most
medications
without much help in the long run. But a few months ago I came over this
recipe for an ointment,
and this has been very helpful for me. It allows the skin to keep a good
amount of moisture, without
water that dries it out again. Try this, if you’re looking for alternatives
to cortisone etc.
Recipe, beeswax ointment:
15g yellow beeswax
60ml almond oil
