multicenter, randomised, double-blind study versus placebo
European Journal of Dermatology. Vol. 12, Issue 6, November -
December 2002: 549-52, Therapy
Summary: Seborrhoeic dermatitis is a frequent and chronic dermatitis
of the face for which the 2 main treatments used are topical
antifungals and corticosteroids. The aim of this study was to
investigate the effect of topical lithium gluconate in the treatment
of this affection.

Hi, I just joined the group.
I’ve had SD on my scalp for as long as I can remember. My mom tells
me it started with cradle cap when I was a baby, and I had it all
through childhood. It took until I was about 19 or 20 to finally find
out that what I needed was tar shampoo. As long as I keep using
something like T-Gel or the Walgreens equivelant, my scalp is much
better, though I still sometimes get the itch and have a lot of
flakes. Question: Does having SD make the scalp more sensitive? I
have a very sensitive scalp, but don’t know if SD has anything to do
with it.
Is SD related to eczema? I think I have either eczema or another kind
of dermatitis on my hands and back.
Has anyone uesd this for oil control? I found a few things in the
archive about it, but not enough info. Thanks all…
I’ve tried numerous topical prescriptions for my scalpal sebderm, to
little effect. I’d like to try accutane, as it seems that only a
medication that reduces the activity of my glands (as opposed to just
suppressing inflammation from still-overactive glands) would have any
real effect. However, I discussed it with my derm and he is unwilling
to even consider using Accutane to treat sebderm at all.
does anyone know of any doctors in the NYC area who have experience
prescribing Accutane for this condition? The side effects seem
daunting, and who knows if my liver/kidneys will clear the tests, but
I’d like to at least have it on the table as an option, since nothing
else seems to be working.
thanks in advance for any help.
I got my samples of the latest version of DRL from Cutanix for Acne and Oily
Skin and so far I am really liking this. It is very light and absorbs
almost immediately into the skin.
I have not had any real bad inflammation (redness and oozing) to test it on
yet, but it is working really well for the massive flaking I have to deal
with on a daily basis.
Finally found something that I can use as a mostuirizer without the
greasiness and eventual irritation that other moisturizers cause.
Brian, if you are reading this, can you tell me what is the main differences
between the Acne and Oily Skin version and the Senstive Skin version.
Thanks
I know some of you have posted information on apple cider vinegar in
the past, but I am trying to find out some more information on this.
If anyone has tried this on their skin, let me know. Thanks all.
Has anyone tried the new cleansers from Cutanix?

this in the uk?

another consultation with my derm…
thanks,

Has anyone noticed a difference when tanning? My sebderm cleared up
completely when I went to Arizona, and was still clear 2 weeks after
when I came home. I think it has something to do with being out in
the sun. I know its bad, but I am thinking about going to the tanners
just once and see if this helps. Any comments?
Also I just picked up some Neutrogena T-Gel. Who has had a good
outcome with this stuff? Thanks all.
