More than one skin problem!
I have been diagnosed with acne and rosacea.
On top of which I am sure I have some sebderm (raw crack around ear
lobe, peely red patches between eyes, and nose).
Being a woman I had the option to use a birth control pill to control
my skin problems. But I stopped because I have been on them for over
five years (need a little break). Problem is my skin is now very
oily and the sebderm is flaring.
Do you think a dermatologist will prescibe accutane for just really
oily skin with a few minor break outs and patches of sebderm? Or do
you think I have to look a terrible mess before they would prescibe
it.
PS…been on accutane two times before in my twenties….So, I am
familiar with the side effects. Accutane was the one thing that got
my skin to normalize for period of 6 years.

Did you notice a difference right away when you
that there is a definite cycle
stopped taking the pill? I am curious, because I have
noticed (sorry guys
that my sebderm follows in relation to my hormonal
fluctuations. I have wondered if it is a high level
of testosterone or androgens in relation to the female
hormones that worsens the excessive sebum production,
which in turn worsens the sebderm. I have
contemplated going on the pill to see if it would
help.
