Help Required

Hi

I wonder if someone can help me with the following 2 points:

1. I am 30 and suffer with seb derm and rosacea and am using Protopic to
keep it under control, Minocin for my rosacea, however EVERY morning after
I`ve washed my face it goes bright red and burns for about half an hour,
slowly dissapating.Anyone experience the same and if so what do they do to
alleviate this?
I did have 8 photofacial treatments last year, but this is getting worse.

2. My scalp in all areas suffers with the seb derm and I have been
alternating Selsun Blue with Nizoral, but I can wash my hair one night and
the very next morning my head is full of seb derm flakes. As my hair is
receeding now I have it cut short and therefore the seb derm is

noticeable..very embarrassing.
I have applied Protopic to my scalp which isn`t very practical, other than
that I massage Aqeous cream into my scalp.
A trip to get my hair cut has to be carefully planned.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
J

    Hey J,
cutting hair for me can be an embarrasing issue to. One time i went to the
barber shop, about half a dozen people in there, and when the barber took a
look at my hair, he was very loud in saying "What the Fuck is this shit!!" i
was extremely embarrased, but though he opened up my eyes to different
shampoos. Shampoos that balance the oil, and ph of the scalp decreasing the
flakes & itchyness. He introduced me to the Keune series shampoos. They
work very well for me. Head n Shoulders, Selsun blue, denorex do not do
anything but cause more grief for me. Try using other shampoos. Thats my
suggestion. I used to have gorgeous long black curly hair to, but keeping
my hair short now helps me maintain my scalp.

You may wnat o look into taking finasteride (either Proscar or
Propecia–they are the same drug just different doses)

Finasteride lowers DHT levels which could lower sebum production and it
    helps with hairloss.

You can read all about this drug at www.hairlosshelp.com–there also many
guys on this site that have bad seb derm on their scalp and are losing hair.

I have been on 1.25mgs of Proscar daily for about 6 months and it has helped
alot with the hairloss and with seb derm–no negative side effects either
except for my skin is drier

protopic only 3 days a week and have good results. i’ve been doing
    this for 2 yrs now
